Did someone say Kenya?

Assassination of someone working for President Uhuru Kenyatta?

Who was supporting the opposition party?

>Sen. Barack Obama, with a donation of nearly $1 million, and a son of Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi were among the biggest contributors to the presidential campaign of controversial Kenyan leader Raila Odinga

>But a 200 million strong citizen army carrying semiautos is probably effective enough for the purpose.

The experience of Afghanistan and elsewhere demonstrates that while an army can take territory with planes and tanks, they can't really control it on the ground when there is an armed populace.

You are also comparing an insurrection against foreign invaders vs armed resistance to our own govt.

Our local police and troops will be very reticent to begin a ground shooting war against their neighbors, even assuming the govt is willing to drone or nuke its own cities (it won't).

The Supreme Court Heller decision was 5-4.

So it seems to be a fundamental point of disagreement even among scholars, despite most of the contemporary writings from the time are clear they weren't just thinking about govt controlled militias.

Murdering Scalia was a setup to flip the numbers and change Heller, which would effectively outlaw private ownership.
