I read the original letter that this news article is based on around 2001. I worked in an industry where I was in close proximity to at least 1000 people a day. I wanted to protect myself from exposure so started using this protocol. I have never suffered any longer from a flu or a cold than the time it takes to take Baking soda. It also healed a protracted infection in a tooth.
Everyone I have told about it has thanked me for the remedy.
If you feel something coming on, headache, sore throat, sniffles, fever whatever, start super alkalizing your blood by taking 6 doses 1/2 teaspoon a day (every two hours), 4 the next, then 2, the 1 a day for a week.
Many times you will not need to complete the dosages as the sooner you get on it the sooner you get well.
You can adjust it to your weight and personal response.
It's wonderful for GIRD and upset stomach.
