No , the torture starts in utero, pre birth torture. Continues with physical and sexual abuse after birth, electric shock, rape, ceremonial rape, child rape by family and other men, father brings in. The alters split during episodes of abuse, to preserve the real Identity. The person does not know, but realizes they lose time. They don't recall portions of their day because an alter had taken over the body to protect them.
