Cut out everything you can such as cable tv/netflix, mobile phones (no, you DON'T "need" them),
-look for things you can sell on ebay,
-look on local bulletin boards like post office for odd jobs (also on Craig's List),
-depending on where you live pay attention to construction going on around you… SHOW UP on the job site and talk to the head guy.
-File for unemployment.
-If there is an employment agency where you live (not gov't one, a private one in the phone book) depending on your skill-set you can go there, tell them your skills and salary requirements and they will arrange interviews for you
-Cook as much as possible from scratch, the very basics are cheap, eat less meat in the meantime, you'll be fine 2-3x week.
Keep your chin up, you're going to make it. Our ancestors all lived through things we can't imagine and we're here. I know you'll find a way through.
