I understand completely with what your saying, but whether radical or moderate, unlike the Christian Gospels, Islam doesn’t regard the belief in free will nor the pursuit of Truth as central tenets. These two together form the very foundation of Western Jurisprudence. This is true whether you are a Christian or not and we simply take this for granted. In contrast, Islam condones being untruthful or deceptive under certain conditions.

I agree and it wasn’t just the media. Our intelligence agencies radicalized entire populations. It was wrong. I agree. But that’s no excuse to throw Christianity aside in favor of a less radical form of Islam.
