Have not looked into this SWS specifically, but reminds me of 'the holographic universe' concept.
Something I've considered is that my consciousness has been imprisoned in the simulation, separated from the reality it is modeled on.
Or that I've actually always been the node in the simulation instead of the real person it represents, though I never knew the difference. (Topic touched on in one of the Black Mirror episodes.)
An idea like this might help make sense of some Q posts, like "Fantasy land" and "a new world", and Q's mention of The Matrix.
