Clinton Fixer John Podesta Lashes Out at President Trump For Attacking Crooked Tony Podesta

John Podesta, a longtime Clinton fixer and brother to Tony Podesta lashed out at President Trump Wednesday morning.

John Podesta is one of the dirtiest people in DC (and that’s saying a lot).

President Trump was on a rampage Tuesday night after Mueller’s prosecutors recommended Roger Stone serve 7-9 years in prison for process crimes.

Shortly after President Trump TORCHED Demon Judge Amy Berman Jackson, he turned his ire toward Tony Podesta.

John Podesta attacked Trump Wednesday morning and defended his crooked brother who was given immunity by Mueller and protected by the Deep State.

Here are the cold, hard facts on Tony Podesta:

In September, federal prosecutors ended their investigation into Tony Podesta for his Ukrainian lobbying efforts and failing to file a FARA [Foreign Agents Registration Act] form in a timely manner.

Tony Podesta, who was the chairman of the now-defunct Podesta Group is a well-connected Democrat and brother to John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman.

Former special counsel Robert Mueller also gave Tony Podesta immunity to testify against Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort.

“In other words, for a near identical crime, Bill and Hillary’s friend could escape and emerge completely unscathed while Paul Manafort may rot in jail. Only one of them made the mistake of chairing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign,” Tucker Carlson said in the summer of 2019.

UK Government to Give Office of Communications Power to Police Internet Content

The UK government will give Ofcom new regulatory powers to police what is posted on the internet, it has said. The decision was made as part of a new “online harms“ plan that ministers say will protect people as they use the internet.

However, critics say the addition of new rules and regulations could stifle free speech and give the government unprecedented powers to decide what is posted and available on the internet. Campaign group Big Brother Watch has called the plans “dangerous and wrong” and suggested they are “a direct attack on the fundamental right to freedom of expression”.

Ofcom will have the power to enforce a “duty of care” on companies such as Facebook and Twitter “to protect users from harmful and illegal terrorist and child-abuse content”. It will be able to punish companies that fail in that duty.

Previous proposals have suggested allowing the regulator to issue fines against platforms and websites that it judges to have failed to protect users from seeing harmful videos such as those depicting violence or child abuse.

Stoltenberg: NATO Agrees to Take on Some Training of Iraqi Troops Done by US-Led Coalition

The meeting of NATO's defence ministers comes a day after North Macedonian lawmakers ratified a protocol on the country's accession to the bloc by an overwhelming majority.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference on the first day of the NATO ministers’ meeting, Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that the bloc's member states have agreed to take on some of training of Iraqi troops that had previously been carried out by the US-led coalition.

"Today, allied ministers … agreed in principle to enhance NATO's training mission," Stoltenberg told reporters.

He went on to say that the bloc states are in Iraq "on the invitation of Baghdad, adding that they will only stay there as long as they are "welcome."

Prior to the meeting, Stoltenberg held another press conference on Tuesday, touching upon the recent escalation of tensions in Syria's Idlib Province as well as the possible deployment of new anti-missile systems in Europe.

The meeting was focused on key issues, including the Alliance’s training mission in Iraq and the fight against international terrorism. Ministers will also discuss NATO’s presence in Afghanistan, the challenges posed by Russia’s missile systems and NATO-EU cooperation.

Unfortunately, A Corrupt Group of Politically Focused DOJ Lawyers Isn’t The Only Issue…

Four of Robert Mueller’s special counsel prosecutors strategically and purposefully resigned their positions yesterday in an attempt to create a political narrative against U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr – through a ridiculous Roger Stone sentencing memorandum.

In a subsequent interview with Lou Dobbs, House Intel Committee ranking member Devin Nunes noted the activity of Mueller’s 19 lawyers was likely to come under scrutiny now, as people start to ask common sense questions. [Ex. what were these DOJ lawyers doing for over two years if there was zero evidence of any Trump-Russia collusion?]

However, I would draw attention to an even more troubling issue that media pretend not to even notice. From the Mueller Report (pg 13):

“Eventually Only the Rich Will Procreate as Chemicals Leave the Poor Sterile”

High-profile investor Jeremy Grantham warned in a letter that falling birth rates in the developed world could accelerate in coming years due to increasing chemical toxicity, allowing only wealthy people to have children.

In recent years, economists have raised concern about the impact on economic growth of slowing birth rates in the developed world. Grantham, who co-founded GMO in the 1970s and is famous for calling the last two major market bubbles, said that trend is poised to accelerate due to increased chemical toxicity in the environment and food products.

“This interference is growing at such a rapid rate that if left alone it is likely to leave us sterile in a few decades with only the rich able to easily afford the healthy lifestyles and the exotic medical help required to have babies,” Grantham said.

While acknowledging that changes in lifestyle choices is responsible for at least some of the slowing birth rates, Graham said increased chemical toxicity is making it harder for women to conceive and lowering sperm counts in men.

Live Updates: Russia Blames Idlib Escalation on Turkey’s Failure to Live Up to Commitments on Syria

Earlier in the day, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Moscow and Damascus of attacking civilians in Idlib, mere days after Turkey claimed it had lost five soldiers in shelling by the Syrian Army.

Commenting on the recent deterioration of the situation in Syria's Idlib de-escalation zone, the Russian Defence Ministry stated that the crisis has worsened because militants are obtaining weapons and ammunition from across the Turkish border.

The ministry noted that the attacks by Syrian militants on neighbouring peaceful areas prompted the Syrian government forces to respond.

"The civilians are suffering because of provocations in Idlib de-escalation zone by the terrorist groups that use 'live shield' against the Syrian government forces. The situation is exacerbated by the arrival of weapons and ammunition in the de-escalation zone via the Syrian-Turkish border, as well as the arrival of Turkish armoured vehicles and troops in the province of Idlib," the Russian ministry said in a press release.

"The real reason of the crisis in Idlib de-escalation zone is, unfortunately, the failure of our Turkish colleagues to adhere to their commitments on separating moderate opposition fighters from terrorists of Jabhat Nusra (banned in Russia) and Hurras ad-Din (linked to Al Qaeda, which is banned in Russia)," the press release read.

‘They’ll Rain Holy Hell’: Meghan McCain Says The Democratic Primary Attacks Are Just Beginning

Meghan McCain said Wednesday that the kraken was coming — and that racial relationships were going to be key — as Democrats moved on to the next primary states.

McCain made the comments in the opening segment of ABC’s “The View” as she recapped Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary election.

Whoopi Goldberg began the segment by reminding everyone that only two states had spoken, saying “This is when it gets interesting to me.”

Joy Behar offered congratulations to Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who managed a narrow win in New Hampshire over former South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg, but conceded that he might not do well in all of the coming contests.

“He’s also going to get trounced in South Carolina,” Behar said. “He was killed in 2016 I believe, the last time. This may be Biden’s opportunity in South Carolina. Nobody knows. I was impressed with Klobuchar. She pulled it out in the debate. She was very good and strong and smart and even funny, a little bit, when they started to boo her, she said Bernie brothers. That was amazing. Let’s see some humor from these people.”

Sunny Hostin jumped in then, noting that both Iowa and New Hampshire were majority white states and saying that the numbers could change dramatically with the influx of African American voters in states like South Carolina, where former Vice President Joe Biden has focused his efforts.

“We’ll see a significant number of African American voters,” Hostin said. “I say it all the time. The Democratic nominee needs the support of African American voters, especially African American women to really get the nomination. I don’t think Klobuchar or Sanders or Buttigieg is well placed.” (RELATED: Amy Klobuchar Bucks Party, Says She’d Make Room For Pro-Life Democrats)

“It’s not wrong,” McCain agreed, adding, “The oppo dumps are going to start coming especially with Mayor Pete in regards to race relations when he was mayor. Just expect people to start releasing the kraken on this.”

“The what?” Behar asked.

“The kraken,” Goldberg repeated.

“Do you know what that means? It doesn’t matter. They’ll rain holy Hell,” McCain explained.

McCain went on to say that she did not see a path forward for Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. “[Amy Klobuchar] over-performed with white college educated women,” she added. “It’s a demographic that’s extremely important. She took it from Warren. Warren is in her neighboring state of Massachusetts. She should have done a hell of lot better than she did. There’s no pathway for her.”

“I actually think it’s going to go to a brokered convention,” McCain concluded, saying that it would all come down to Sanders and whichever moderate candidate managed to come out on top when all was said and done. “It wasn’t a great night for Biden. Coming in fifth isn’t great. He does the best with African American voters. It’s early, but there should be a little more clarity coming out of New Hampshire.”

Wisconsin School District Abandons ‘A-F’ Grading Scale to Prevent Stress

A school district in Madison, Wisconsin, has made the controversial decision to abandon the common “A to F” grading system based in favor of a system that is “kinder” to students. Now, top students will be graded as “exceeding” while failing students will be “emerging.”

According to a report by the College Fix, the Madison Metropolitan School District has announced that they are doing away with the traditional “A-F” grading system in favor of a new system that is gentle on students.

The report, which was written by Christian Schneider, a parent in the school district, claims that the district has introduced four new categories to replace the traditional grading scale. Schneider noticed that his second-grade daughter’s report card featured words like “exceeding” and “emerging” instead of letter grades.

“Exceeding” – Student consistently exceeds grade-level expectations for the end of the year.

“Meeting” – Student consistently meets grade-level expectations for the end of the year.

“Developing” – Student is developing understanding and is approaching grade-level expectations for the end of the year.

“Emerging” – Student begins to show initial understanding of grade-level expectations for the end of the year.

Schneider points out that the new grading system doesn’t apply directly to a student’s performance in each subject. Instead, students are graded on their ability to work in groups and tell stories.

The two scales don’t match up largely because the new grades assigned don’t address a specific class or subject – they deal mostly with behavior. The “Exceeding-Emerging” scale applies to 40 different classifications. Instead of being graded on “math” or “science,” my daughter is being graded on “Tells a story or describes an experience,” “cooperates with partners and in groups,” and “understands and identifies stages in the life cycle of insects.”

Breitbart News reported in January 2019 that a guest speaker at American University told faculty members that it was racist to judge the quality of a student’s writing when grading a paper. The guest speaker, a professor in the University of Washington system, argued that traditional grading practices perpetuate “white supremacy.”

Trump National Security Advisor O’Brien on Dismissal of Vindman Brothers from NSC: US Not a Banana Republic Where Lt. Colonels Dictate Policy

National Security Advisor Ambassador Robert O’Brien commented Tuesday night on the abrupt dismissal from the National Security Council last Friday of Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his twin brother Army Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, implying that the two were insubordinate and tried to control U.S. policy with regard to their native Ukraine. When asked directly if he was accusing the Vindman brothers, O’Brien said no, however it was a telling statement on the situation at the NSC before O’Brien took over last September from his fired predecessor Ambassador John Bolton.

O’Brien gave a speech to Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C. and then sat on stage for an interview by CBS Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan. His comments on the Vindman brothers came in a follow-up to this question about him downsizing the National Security Council.

Fed Chair Jay Powell Testifies Before Senate Banking Committee

Fed Chair Powell concludes his two-day testimony on The Hill today.

Having been chastised by the Democrat-controlled House Financial Services Committee for attending a party at Jeff Bezos' house yesterday, and not paying enough attention to varigating rates for minorities and taking account of climate change, today's testimony before the Republican-controlled Senate Banking Committee, may be a little friendlier.

As Rabobank's Michael Every noted earlier, today we get to listen to a technocrat describe how well everything is going while trying to decipher the hidden and not so hidden hints in his speech to ensure that one correctly front-runs where the state is about to pour enormous buckets of liquidity.

Full Prepared Remarks Below:

My colleagues and I strongly support the goals of maximum employment and price stability that Congress has set for monetary policy. Congress has given us an important degree of independence to pursue these goals based solely on data and objective analysis. This independence brings with it an obligation to explain clearly how we pursue our goals. Today I will review the current economic situation before turning to monetary policy.

Current Economic Situation

The economic expansion is well into its 11th year, and it is the longest on record. Over the second half of last year, economic activity increased at a moderate pace and the labor market strengthened further, as the economy appeared resilient to the global headwinds that had intensified last summer. Inflation has been low and stable but has continued to run below the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) symmetric 2 percent objective.

Job gains averaged 200,000 per month in the second half of last year, and an additional 225,000 jobs were added in January. The pace of job gains has remained above what is needed to provide jobs for new workers entering the labor force, allowing the unemployment rate to move down further over the course of last year. The unemployment rate was 3.6 percent last month and has been near half-century lows for more than a year. Job openings remain plentiful. Employers are increasingly willing to hire workers with fewer skills and train them. As a result, the benefits of a strong labor market have become more widely shared. People who live and work in low- and middle-income communities are finding new opportunities. Employment gains have been broad based across all racial and ethnic groups and levels of education. Wages have been rising, particularly for lower-paying jobs.

Salmon with a side of GMOs: The FDA approves an Indiana company’s genetically modified salmon and you won’t even know you’re eating it

It’s about to get more difficult to avoid GMOs as the FDA has granted approval to a type of genetically modified salmon that grows faster and requires less feed than natural salmon.

This salmon, which is known as AquAdvantage Salmon, is grown not in the Atlantic but inland in indoor tanks in Indiana. The company that produces it, AquaBounty, says it is grown inland in order to protect marine ecosystems and native fish populations. It requires 25 percent less feed and has been engineered for quick growth.

The genetic modification entails the extraction of a gene for hormone growth from Chinook salmon, which is then inserted into the genetic sequence of Atlantic salmon. It also contains some DNA from a fish known as ocean pout. This means it can be put up for sale faster than traditional salmon. The fish can reach full size in roughly 18 months, which is twice as quickly as regular salmon.

There’s no question that salmon is a nutritious and in-demand food, but it remains to be seen whether this particular offering will deserve the same labels. As far as nutrients go, experts say there’s no way to know how the genetic variation will impact the nutrient density of the resultant fish. There’s a possibility it simply won’t offer the same nutrient profile as conventional salmon, which is known for being a great source of omega 3 fatty acids, protein, selenium, B vitamins, and the antioxidant astaxanthin, which can reduce your risk of heart disease and protect the nervous system and brain from inflammation.

It may not see the demand of natural salmon, either, as people are growing increasingly wary of genetic modification. Even though the FDA has given its approval, we simply don’t know what the long-term effects of consuming GMOs could be. Because this approach is so new, it’s impossible to say how it might harm health over time. This “Frankenfish” is the only genetically engineered animal approved by the FDA for food use.
