Simple rule to make text moar readable.

-On white background, make your text BLACK (in other words – contrasting color)

-On black background, make your text WHITE (contrasting color)

-On mixed background, try white text with a black outline or stroke (then check it for readability – common sense – how does it look?)

Handles most cases.

Examine a print ad in a magazine and notice that you will NEVER see white text on white background, outlined – because that's extremely difficult to read.
