Biologically Male Runner To Compete In USA Women’s Olympic Trials
A biologically male marathon runner who identifies as a transgender woman is set to compete in the USA Olympic trials later in February.
Megan Youngren “is set to make history on Feb. 29 as the first openly transgender athlete to compete at the U.S. Olympic marathon trials,” Sports Illustrated reported. Youngren qualified for the trials after a strong performance on Dec. 8, 2019 in the California International Marathon.
“People will try to put it down by saying, ‘That’s too easy because you’re trans.’ But what about the 500 other women who will qualify?” Youngren told the magazine. “There’s probably someone with the exact same story.”
“I trained hard. I got lucky. I dodged injuries,” Youngren added. “I raced a lot, and it worked out for me. That’s the story for a lot of other people, too.”
The International Olympic Committee requires transgender athletes in women’s sports to keep their testosterone levels below a certain threshold, but scientific research suggests that suppressing testosterone isn’t enough to neutralize biologically male athletes’ inherent physiological advantages.
Youngren is the latest biologically male athlete to achieve success in female athletics while identifying as a transgender woman.
June Eastwood, a biologically male runner at the University of Montana who identifies as transgender, was named the Big Sky Conference’s female athlete of the week in October 2019. Eastwood previously competed on the university’s men’s cross country team.
Franklin Pierce University runner CeCe Telfer won an NCAA DII women’s track championship in May 2019. Like Eastwood, Telfer previously competed on the men’s team before switching genders.
Two biologically male runners have dominated girls’ high school track in Connecticut, leading three of their female competitors to file a lawsuit against the athletic conference.
Former U.S. Olympic athlete Rebecca Dussault told the Daily Caller News Foundation in September 2019 that allowing biological males into female sports will have disastrous effects on female athletes.
“Once a male body has gone through puberty, they have received the benefits. So the skeletal form, lung capacity, muscle density, the greater length of levers in their body, their muscle-to-weight ratio, their capacity to deal with dehydration much better, narrower hips, I mean you name it — they are physiologically designed differently than women,” she said.
“We invest so much money into keeping sports fair, and this blows the cap off of it,” she added. “Every woman’s record in sports will fall.”

Russian Pranksters: We Tricked Bernie Sanders into KGB ‘Sleeper Agent’ Activation Ritual with ‘Greta Thunberg’
A pair of Russian YouTubers claim that they have nabbed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in another prank call from a pair posing as Greta Thunberg and her father, according to their latest video.
The video opens with an individual who sounds like and identifies himself as Sanders, one of the frontrunners in the Democrats’ presidential primary, asking to speak with Greta Thunberg, the teen climate activist who was named TIME Person of the Year. “I just wanted to congratulate you on the extraordinary role you are playing in rallying young people and people throughout the world on this terrible, terrible crisis of climate change,” he says.
“We would like to help you, in your campaign in some way, what is the best thing to do?” the woman pretending to be “Greta” says after a few minutes of general discussion of climate change.
The person identifying himself as Sanders responds: “Well if you would like to help in our campaign that would be wonderful, and we would be very appreciative, because you have generated so much excitement among young people and all people throughout the world. You are admired very, very much.”
He then asks her if she is planning to be in the United States in the next few months. The “father” responds they will be there in February.
“Well, that’d be great, but if you wanted to make a statement in support of our plan and my candidacy, I would be very appreciative,” the person who sounds like Sanders says. “We can bring some folks together with you, and we can have a wonderful meeting if that’s something you are interested in.”
He mentions her making a statement in support of his candidacy and his plans on climate change.
The pranksters then suggested that Sanders collaborate with them and singer Billie Eilish and Kanye West on a “rap video.”
He responded, “That would be terrific… Rap music is very popular. We have a number of rap artists working hard on our campaign.”
The pair suggests that Sanders wear “gold chains and jewelry” and dance in front of fancy cars for the video, prompting a laugh from the man on the phone.
The conversation then turns back to a serious note, as the pranksters say they are going to Russia to discuss climate change, and the man identified as Sanders gives them advice on what to say to Russian leaders.
The callers then bring up Sanders’ 1988 honeymoon in Moscow and unsuccessfully bait him with a question on whether America can be led into “communism.” They suggest that he make former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg his running mate in the 2020 election.
He responds with a chuckle, “OK, well, I will take that under advisement.”
Towards the end, the pranksters suggest that Sanders was “recruited and programmed to work for Russia” during his 1988 trip to the Soviet Union. “Your memory was erased so the CIA wouldn’t track you down,” she continues.
“Is this what you believe?” the man purported to be Sanders responds. “You become [sic] a sleeper agent of the KGB, yes,” the Greta actress says. “Now it’s time to wake up and fulfill your mission: become President of the United States, build communism in the United States, and work for Russia. I will tell you the code phrase and you will remember.”
The pair then begin speaking gibberish, telling the man, “Russian hackers will begin an operation to bring you to power in the United States.”
At this point, the person identifying himself as Sanders hangs up, according to the video presentation.
The Russian pranksters are YouTubers Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, who go by the names Vovan and Lexus. They became famous in the U.S. for tricking House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) into seeking nude pictures of Trump, and recently tricked Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) twice.
They tricked Waters into believing that “Greta” and her father had a taped confession from Trump admitting to the exact charges in House Democrats’ articles of impeachment which passed in late December.

Judicial Watch Uncovers NIH Fetal Organ Purchases For 'Humanized Mice' Testing
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) paid nearly $20,000 to a California-based firm to purchase organs from aborted human fetuses for a program to create "humanized mice" for HIV research, according to Judicial Watch.
The discovery was made after the conservative watchdog group received 676 pages of records as part of a March 2019 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, which revealed that NIH paid at least $18,100 between December 2016 and August 2018 to Alameda-based Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) for at least 26 purchases of livers and thymuses from fetuses aborted in their second trimester. The orders were placed by Dr. Kim Hasenkrug, senior investigator at the NIH lab in Hamilton, Montana.
Of note, ABR has been the subject of criminal referrals from House and Senate committees investigating whether Planned Parenthood or any other group was illegally profiting from aborted babies.
Purchase orders associated with the transactions state: “These tissues, liver and thymus, are required [by] Ron Messer for ongoing studies of HIV in the Hasenkrug Lab. Our mice will be ready for reconstitution soon.”
Beginning with a December 21, 2016, payment to ABR and running through April 2018, the records show that a fetal liver and thymus set costs $680, and payment was due upon receipt. On May 23, 2018, the cost increased to $750. -Judicial Watch

The Swedish channel TV4 has expelled a Big Brother reality show participant for a single anti-Semitic statement.
During a conversation with fellow participant Kim Kamal, who was complaining about his former Jewish boss, 24-year-old Angolan-born Isabel Pereira confessed that she hated Jews, the newspaper Expressen reported.
“I had the worst boss in the world. She was so f***ing disgusting. It was insane. <…I worked so much, so so much, for s**t pay. It was a family-owned business, so she and her husband owned the company, but the concept was his. She was manager and staff manager. I had the most contact with her, but liked her husband very much. He was very kind and understanding, but she was a Jew, so I understand,” Kim Kamal said.
To this Pereira replined with a laugh: “Oh, I hate Jews”.
Subsequently, Pereira was accused of racism and anti-Semitism and banned from the show with immediate effect.
TV4 executive producer Joel Bendrik stressed that the channel has “zero tolerance” for this type of speech and that the channel even shut down the Big Brother live broadcast after the statement was dropped. According to him, a warning underlining the seriousness of the incident was issued to the entire house.
“It is unacceptable to say this in a live broadcast”, Nina Tojzner, secretary general of the Jewish Youth League told national broadcaster SVT.
Tojzner argued the statement is especially outrageous, given how many young people are watching the programme.
“The comment was unnecessary and completely unprovoked”, Tojzner added.
By her own admission, she had planned to file a complaint with TV4, only to find out that TV4 had already acted on the matter.
“It is positive that TV4 is acting so quickly. I hope they would not have included the participant if they had known about her anti-Semitic views,” Tojzner said.
Later the same day, the channel announced that Kim Kamal will be forced to leave as well. The decision was made after the publisher went through the entire conversation.
“Now that we have carefully gone through all of Kim and Isabel's talks, it is clear that Kim is also forced to leave the programme. The Kim statement also falls within the scope of what we consider to be unacceptable,” executive producer Joel Bendrik said.
Isabel Pereira is the sister of Angolan-born rapper Jireel Lavia Pereira, and is one of eight children. She has been living in Sweden since the age of 11.
Kim is a 21-year-old Kurdish immigrant to Sweden and YouTuber. He has also been living in Sweden since age 11.

New Wave Of Israeli Airstrikes Hits Syrian Capital (Videos)
In the late hours of February 13, a new wave of Israeli airstrikes targeted the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus.
The airstrikes reportedly targeted several areas around the Damascus International Airport as well as the town of al-Ghasulah in the capital’s Eastern Ghouta Region. Large explosions were reported in these areas.
A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that Syrian air-defense systems intercepted some of the Israeli missiles, which came from the southern direction.
“At 23,45 hours on Thursday, 2/13/2020 hostile missiles coming from the occupied Golan were detected, our air defense systems immediately dealt with them, downing a number of hostile missiles before reaching their targets,” the source said.

Regular flights from Russian regions to Chinese cities were officially suspended on February 1 over the outbreak of the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV in China. Before the suspension, several Russian airlines performed regular (Aeroflot, Iraero, Aurora, Yakutia, Ural Airlines, S7 Airlines) and charter flights (Nordwind, iFly, Azur air) to and from China.

Russian politicians, military experts: The Syrian State has the right to use military force against terrorists on its land
MOSCOW, (ST)- Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council Andrei Klimov has affirmed that Russia's position towards Syria is based on the basic principles of the international law which consider that all the military forces and armed groups operating on Syrian territories without the approval of the legitimate Syrian government , as occupation forces which have no mandate justifying their presence in Syria.
In a statement to SANA, Klimov said the Turkish regime has not implemented its commitments regarding the de-escalation zone in Idleb pursuant to the Sochi agreement, stressing that this Turkish behavior complicates the situation in this area.
He reiterated that Idleb is an integral part of Syria which is a sovereign state that has the right to use military force against terrorists on its land.
Klimov pointed out that there are internal problems inside Turkey that increase the Turkish people's unrest because of the policies of their current government.
For his part, Deputy Head of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladislav Bilov said that the Syrian Arab Army's operation against terrorists in Idleb comes within the framework of its duties as a national army that defends the land of its country. He stressed that Russia firmly supports the Syrian army operation particularly as the Turkish side doesn't implement its pledges pursuant to the Sochi agreements.
Bilov made it clear that Russia has warned against the threats resulted from the criminal acts of the Turkish-backed Terrorist groups in Idleb, reiterating Russia's commitment to Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

With China's economy grinding to a halt as tens of thousands of people are infected and hundreds of millions are under quarantine from the coronavirus pandemic, a new viral hub may be emerging near Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.
According to the Bangkok Post, villages in Vietnam with 10,000 people close to the nation's capital were placed under quarantine on Thursday after six cases of the deadly new coronavirus were discovered there, authorities said.
The locking down of the commune of Son Loi, about 40 kilometres from Hanoi, is the first mass quarantine outside of China since the virus emerged from Wuhan.
"As of February 13, 2020, we will urgently implement the task of isolation and quarantine of the epidemic area in Son Loi commune," said a health ministry statement. "The timeline… is for 20 days".
The health ministry previously said five people in Son Loi - which is a farming region made up of several villages - had been infected with the virus, and on Thursday reported a sixth case. At that time, checkpoints were set up around the commune, in Binh Xuyen, a district on the outskirts of Son Loi, according to AFP reporters .
Health officials wearing protective suits sprayed disinfectant on vehicles by the checkpoints.
Even ahead of the quarantine, local resident Tran Van Minh told AFP that authorities had already advised residents to avoid large gatherings. "Life has been badly affected," he told AFP by phone, adding that much of the labor force is reliant on jobs in construction and house painting.
"Now we cannot get out and even if we do, clients don't welcome us that much as before."

Alibaba Warns "Black Swan" Event Could Be Imminent, Triggered By Covid-19 Outbreak In China
Alibaba Group's CEO Daniel Zhang warned Thursday that the Covid-19 outbreak in China is developing into a "black swan event" that could have severe consequences for China and the global economy.
Zhang told analysts during a conference call that the company's fiscal third-quarter results beat expectations but warned of near-term impacts related to the deadly virus outbreak.
He said Alibaba's revenue jumped 38% YoY for the quarter and promoted "robust growth" due to a record Single's Day.
Alibaba Group's CFO Maggie Wu said it's "too early to quantify the impact" Covid-19 will have on its business and other operating segments across Asia.
Wu said the virus shuttered major manufacturing hubs across the country and led to hundreds of millions of people in quarantine.
She said demand for goods and services has declined, and the delay of the workforce getting back to work could further hinder economic growth.
Wu suggested that Alibaba is "not immune to this imbalance of supply and demand," otherwise known as a "shock," but says the company sees an opportunity in the virus crisis (a great way to spin it).
She emphasized the outbreak is a "one-off occurrence" and by "helping customers through difficult times" that enables the company to drive long-term growth. But she provided no timetable of when the company thinks the confirmed cases and deaths will peak.
However, there's only so much the company can spin by pushing investors away from looking at short term impacts by giving them optimistic views about the distant future.
Wu said overall revenue growth for 1Q would be negative as the economic shock from the virus has already shut down two-thirds of the Chinese economy.
The shock Alibaba is warning about was also outlined last month by former Morgan Stanley Asia chairman Stephen Roach, in which he said the global economy could already be in a period of vulnerability, where an exogenous shock, such as the Covid-19, could be the trigger for the next worldwide recession.
"With the world economy operating dangerously close to stall speed, the confluence of ever-present shocks and a sharply diminished trade cushion raises serious questions about financial markets' increasingly optimistic view of global economic prospects," Roach said.
The "black swan" warning was also repeated by Freeport-McMoRan CEO Richard Adkerson several weeks ago after he said the outbreak of the virus in China is a "real black swan event" for the global economy.
