To go one further, when enough of the individuals of a species learn a new thing, does it become a gestalt across the species as a whole to know that new "thing"? I certainly can't rule it out now, at least given the last three years. (I know, once again I'm late to the party, but I'll make it all up with my "Interpretive Charlton"!)
