Duncan MacMillan cofounded financial data and media company Bloomberg LP in 1981 with Mike Bloomberg, Thomas Secunda and Charles Zegar.

MacMillan left a job at investment bank Salomon Brothers to help Bloomberg with what was then called Innovative Market Systems.

He is credited with designing many of Bloomberg LP's computer systems.

Bloomberg LP, where MacMillan still works in the engineering department, has revenues estimated at $9.6 billion and 19,000 global employees.

Carol Reiley

Former President and cofounder, Drive.ai

Though Silicon Valley is full of companies trying to build the brain behind autonomous vehicles, few have come as close as Drive.ai. Reiley cofounded the company with fellow graduate students at Stanford's Artificial Intelligence Lab in 2015. It has since raised $91 million in funding to create kits that retrofit standard vehicles into autonomous cars. The company has autonomous vehicles on roads in Texas, and it plans to deploy more throughout the country as it continues to develop its technology. Reiley stepped down from her post as president of Drive.ai in 2018 to work on a stealth healthcare startup. Though she can't yet provide specific details, Reiley told Forbes that she's bootstrapping herself. Reiley hopes to release a beta product through her new company in 2019.
