Rashida Tlaib Arrested At Detroit Metro Airport Rally

On Friday afternoon, Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib was arrested at the Detroit Metro Airport.

She partook in a protest with local airline workers that disrupted the airport enough to warrant an arrest of her and several others by police.

According to photos of the event, hospitality workers’ union UNITE HERE was joined by Tlaib and carried signs that vouched for the employees of Delta Air Lines. They were demanding better healthcare coverages along with higher wages.

A Chicago ABC affiliate noted that Tlaib was only arrested briefly, being released soon after.
