Have to agree that the stock market highs are useless to me. Even the "record unemployment figures" haven't helped my situation because I am working, if you can call it that: a part-time minimum wage job with no benefits.
Would be interested to know what percentage of Americans have more than $5000 in the stock market or their 401K. I bet it's very low. I know there are other related stats that nobody is talking about, like 69% of Americans have less than $1000 in savings (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/survey-69-americans-less-1-171927256.html)
