Looking at USAspending.gov first under Equatorial Guinea and then, in advanced search, further filtered for Annobon. Oogatz. Nada. Did find an interesting blurb on lonely planet that said it takes a lot of money to get to the island: "Plane and or boat rental is the more typical way of getting there - yet the only people who pay that are oil geologists and cable layers for the telecome industries. Annobon is a tough place indeed to get to."

Two contracts in the Equatorial Guinea contract list caught my eye. One was a large contract ($56 Million) for a new Embassy compound and the other is a DAI contract ($36 Million) for "Technical support for Social Investment and Capacity Building" which means…..I have no idea what that means. Both companies are multi-billion recipients of USG money. What's weird is that even on the Equatorial Guinea state dept. site, there are no pics of this new super duper embassy compound (staff moved to new building in 2013).
