I doubt I've shed 1 ounce of loosh/fear/despair over this. It's like number 50,000 on my list of thoughts/concerns.
I either:
-
don't buy that it's legit
-
convinced it's engineered to take out a people not like me
-
convinced I'm so socially uninvolved that I won't encounter it
-
blissfully ignorant.
I'm in my mid 40's and somehow have never knowingly listened to Zappa (really odd considering I know of him about as well as any name from the era). not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. Bizarre song…but he seems like an entertainer. I think your point was sufficiently made, not that the idea was tempting in any way.
Reminds me of a cross between Rufus Wainwright and Weird Al.
I have not **researched Laurel Canyon…only familiar with the superficial basics of what it was in the counter-culture heyday. Not exactly talking about Whitney's BB here. He was 10 yrs old (well maybe they are) but think what's intended is a diff kinda groovy.
