BB King Called This His Best Live Performance

This clip is a portion of my feature-length documentary, Sing Sing Thanksgiving, recorded in 1973 at the prison outside New York City. We got permission to present the concert from the Warden and took full of it to create and then record this incredible event plus tell the lives of some of the inmates who helped make it happen

Walls made of human bones discovered under Ghent cathedral

Archaeologists working in and around Saint-Bavo’s cathedral in Ghent have made a macabre discovery – walls constructed entirely out of human bones.

“This find is unique in Belgium,” said a spokesperson for the archaeological team from Ruben Willaert bvba in Bruges.

The walls are made mainly of the thigh and shin bones of adults. Between the walls, the space is filled with skulls, many of them shattered.

Above that level, meanwhile, full human skeletons have been uncovered. “So the graveyard must have still been in use for some time after the walls were built.”

The works are being carried out in preparation for the construction of a new visitor’s centre in the cathedral, dedicated to the Jan Van Eyck altarpiece, the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb.

Duterte urged to compel water firms to pay P2 billion fine

MANILA, Philippines — An independent lawmaker yesterday called on President Duterte to compel the country’s largest water concessionaires to pay the P2-billion fine the Supreme Court slapped on them for violating the Clean Water Law.

“The two water suppliers should first acknowledge their violations of the Clean Water Act and pay the fines they owe the government. This is not just about the money. This is also about enforcing penalties to strengthen their deterrent function against potential future violators of the law,” Rep. Lito Atienza of Buhay party-list said in reference to Manila Water Co. and Maynilad Water Services Inc.

Atienza, a former Manila mayor, insisted that this should be made a pre-requisite before the government begins renegotiations for new concession agreements.

“We’ve had enough of big businesses flaunting the law simply because they have the wherewithal to drag cases out in court,” he said.

The SC fined the two firms P2 billion in August 2019.

Transparency International: Emerging Europe ‘not immune’ to corruption

Most of the 23 countries of emerging Europe remain vulnerable to corruption, according to the latest edition of the Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI).

Not one has yet made it to the exclusive club of “very clean countries”, the index’s top category.

Estonia comes closest, once again named as emerging Europe’s least corrupt country. The Baltic state improved its score from 73 (out of a possible 100) in 2018 to 74 in 2019 and is now ranked as the 18th least corrupt country in the world, performing better than Ireland, Japan and France.

“A comprehensive legislative framework, independent institutions and effective online tools make it possible to reduce petty corruption and make political party financing open and transparent,” the anti-corruption watchdog’s annual report notes, adding, however, that recent problems such as money laundering scandals involving the Estonian branch of Danske Bank demonstrate a greater need for integrity and accountability in Estonia’s business and banking sectors.

The rest of emerging Europe is a long way behind.

Gun-free UK: Almost 10,000 gun crimes in a year, with help from Muslim migrants

Almost 10,000 gun crimes were committed in a year in the UK, despite the country being known as “gun free” due to its “strictest gun control laws in the world.” Britain has seen gun crimes rise by “27 per cent in five years and the number of firearms seized has quadrupled.”

Gun smuggling combined with the fallout from a suicidal immigration policy are to blame.

Thanks to Prime Ministers David Cameron (a total failure on immigration) and Theresa May, another failure, from her days as Home Secretary, during which Middle Eastern and African gangs and jihadists proliferated across Britain, as well as Islamic hate preachers.

A middle-eastern gun runner told the news outlet that it is “easy” to bring guns to Britain and that he can sell the weapons for over £2,000, four times as much as he purchases them for in Europe. The smuggler said that he travels to France and picks up the guns from migrant camps in Calais before shipping them back to the UK.

Mobile phishing scam hits customers at big North American banks

Nearly 4,000 IP addresses tied to customers of banks in North America and elsewhere have been targeted in a mobile phishing scam to steal login credentials, researchers said Friday.

Customers at big banks like Chase, the Royal Bank of Canada, and London-based HSBC are among the targets. The hackers are exploiting how accustomed users are to receiving text messages from their banks, said analysts at Lookout, a San Francisco-based security company.

“This appears to be a phishing kit that could be easily acquired or purchased from a third party, allowing even less tech-savvy persons to easily set up and operate their own phishing campaign,” Kristin Del Rosso, security intelligence engineer at Lookout, told CyberScoop.

Adjutants General Ignore OSD & Lobby Congress For Space Guard

PENTAGON: Frustrated with the slow pace of decision-making on the issue, National Guard leaders in states with space units are openly advocating in Congress for the creation of a Space Force National Guard.

“As the adjutants general, we are individually approaching our congressional delegations,” Maj. Gen. David Baldwin, adjutant general of California, told reporters at a briefing today. “We are strongly advocating for a Space National Guard, and we are being received very well by the members on the Hill.”

Baldwin’s counterpart from Colorado, Maj. Gen. Mike Loh, said the question of a Space Force Guard and Reserve component was left up in the air in its first report on Space Force organization to Congress delivered Feb. 3 by Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett. Guard leaders were expecting a positive decision to be reflected in that report: “That’s why,” he said, “I’m concerned.”

Guard leaders argue that a Space National Guard is required to keep the roughly 1,500 guardsmen who specialize in space operations for the Army and Air National Guard aligned with their active duty counterparts. If those personnel remain in their current chain of command, there could be future disconnect in training and equipment being used by active duty and guard troops.

Turkey Sending Military Equipment to Terrorists in Syria - Source

Nusra Front terrorists shot down two Syrian Army helicopters in Syria this week, with the escalation coming amid raging tensions between Damascus and Ankara, which escalated into a shooting war this week after Syrian artillery struck a Turkish observation post in the rebel province on Monday.

Much of the Turkish military equipment being sent into Syria finds its way into the hands of Jabhat al-Nusra* immediately after crossing the border, a military-diplomatic source told Sputnik on Saturday.

According to the source, who asked to remain unidentified, Syria’s Idlib de-escalation zone now contains over 70 Turkish-sourced tanks, about 200 armoured vehicles and 80 pieces of artillery.

The source said that Turkish armoured vehicles, poorly driven by their untrained terrorist crews, are being spotted more and more often by the Syrian Army. “In the last week alone, government forces repelling attacks by militants destroyed over 20 Turkish-supplied tanks and infantry fighting vehicles,” the source said.

Exposed: Islam’s Role in the Transatlantic Slave Trade

Even in this “exclusively” European enterprise, the hidden hand of Islam lurks in the background.

Islam’s history with the West has been one of unwavering antagonism and seismic clashes, often initiated by the former. By the standards of history, nothing between the two civilizations is as well documented as this long war. Accordingly, for more than a millennium, both educated and not so educated Europeans knew—the latter perhaps instinctively—that Islam was a militant creed that for centuries attacked and committed atrocities in their homelands, all in the name of “holy war,” or jihad.

These facts have been radically “updated” in recent times. According to the dominant narrative—as upheld by mainstream media and Hollywood, pundits and politicians, academics and “experts” of all stripes—Islam was historically progressive and peaceful, whereas premodern Europe was fanatical and predatory.

Whatever else can be said about such topsy-turvy claims—and there is much—they beg the question: if such a formerly well-known, well-documented and atrocity-laden history could be revised in a manner that presents its antithesis as the truth—with little objection or challenge—what then of Islam’s more subtle but also negative influences on history, the sort that, unlike the aforementioned centuries of violence vis-à-vis Europe, are not copiously documented or readily obvious but require serious historical investigation?
