Here is the irony about Soros. Yes, you are correct. Soros, like the delusional Prohibitionists, does think legalization will lead to “kids frying their brains.” That’s why Soros supports it. He is a psychopath who makes his money by destabilizing countries and then taking advantage of the chaos. But those he funds are largely intelligent people, many even from law enforcement who have seen how these laws do far more harm to people’s lives than using the drugs themselves. Others are libertarians and economists who understand how black markets create opportunities for people with few options in life to make vast sums of money. For example, none of the powerful and dangerous drug cartels would exist if drugs were available legally. This is where most of the violence originates in our world.
Alcohol is a very dangerous and legal drug, yet most people do not drink and work or drive. And parents do not condone their children consuming alcohol and if they did and were caught , they would be arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Legalization would also take away the mystique of some drugs. For example, there is very little difference between the quality of cigars produced in the Dominican Republic versus Cuba, yet people seek and pay more for Cubans for no other reason than that they are prohibited.
Thus, there is nothing inherently evil in something that is prohibited by some outside authority, the evil arises in the act of prohibition.
If you are worried about kids being exposed to powerful psychoactive drugs during their brain development, then you should equally be concerned about psychiatrists prescribing chemical straight jackets to children and parents too brainwashed to realize what’s happening.
