The sub launching the Trident is the USS Maine (SSBN-741) The USS Maine (ACR-1) was sunk in Havana harbor in Feb 1898, reportedly by Spain. This gave rise to "To hell with Spain- Remember the Maine." The Spanish-American war ensued and that is why we own a piece of Cuba called GITMO.
