Feb. 2008.

Guess we needed to reach back in the vault for an iodine slide.

Well just remember YMMV. This article caused an increase in iodine supplementation. Snag is without blood tests you don't know your iodine level. And it's very difficult to measure your daily burn rate, but it's much less than a single tablet, yet bottle says 1 daily. Humans iodine storage capacity is quite small, and iodine's main function by orders of magnitude is producing Thyroid Stimulating Hormone in the thyroid gland. The bodies preferred method for dealing with too much iodine is to ramp up TSH in the thyroid. If you don't have congestive heart failure, and arent inform, it's ok in the short run, as your body doesn't respond to TSH like other hormones. However, your metabolism will eventually increase, your stress levels will rise, your temper will get short and over the top. Eventually, your eyes will start to bulge out like Rodney Dangerfield.

Doing this long enough will lead to one of three thyroid problems. Hypothyroid, where the thyroid no longer produces enough, hyper thyroid, where your thyroid gets stuck making too much, and of course thyroid cancer.

The article mentions none of this.

Unchecked hyper thyroid will eventually lead to heart damage.

My post specifically addressed supplementation in a normal radiation environment. That's obvious on its face.

If one is exposed to chronic, over norm non leathal radiation, then the body switches the first use of iodine to protect thyroid and chelate and expell radioactive compounds in the body. Such exposures can increase iodine consumption over 100x normal. Of course, you had to know that the Chernobyl radiations main antidote is iodine.

In fact, if you are an Anon, you'd notice the Feb 2008 date, think radiation leak and remember that's when Fukushima reactors melted down. Viral internet marketers fear mongered iodine sales due to its linkage to Fukushima.

I didn't want to discuss that. But your response necessitated it.

I haven't dug on the issue in 12 years. Yes, that's the iodine thyroid protection routine.

Could I have sources it sure, but I specifically pointed out that I wasn't interested in discussing iodine radiation protocol. A polite response is warranted. An attack is not.

However, given my first post on iodine avoided radiation, and yet I manage to attract not one but 2 rude radiation protocol responses to a suspiciously old article to slide on suggests strongly that my suspicion regarding the original post was correct.

TYVM for the confirmation.
