WHY DOES HUSSEIN TRAVEL BEFORE/AFTER POTUS RE: FOREIGN TRIPS?

Barack Obama in Rancho Mirage for Presidents Day

Rancho Mirage continues to live up to its name of "Playground of the Presidents," hosting to former President Barack Obama, just a few days before President Donald Trump is set to visit the city.

Obama spent his Presidents' Day at the Thunderbird Heights off Highway 111. The country club is famous for hosting several presidents, including Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Lyndon B. Johnson, George H.W. Bush, and then-Vice President Richard Nixon.

The visit was unannounced to the public, however, a photo with staff at the Thunderbird Country Club gym taken today shows the 44th President is all smiles.

The woman in the picture with Obama, Gail Bakke-Prosise, told News Channel 3 the former President was working out first thing this morning.

Obama has visited Thunderbird a few times over the years, including after President Donald Trump's inauguration. His desert visits haven't been limited to Thunderbird. He also hosted three world summits at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, including one with China's President Xi Jinping.

No word if Obama was joined by any of his family for this visit.

The Coachella Valley will host the last two sitting U.S. Presidents within two days of each other.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump will attend a fundraising event at Porcupine Creek in Rancho Mirage, which is about 2 miles away from Thunderbird.

The "Golf Outing and Reception" will be held in the home of Oracle Founder Larry Ellison.

Life of a C.I.A. Coder: Nerf Guns, Pranks and Fat Jokes

Trial witnesses describe a raucous workplace culture among officers at the intelligence agency.

Inside a secret government building west of Washington, D.C. — past the armed guards, through the turnstiles and coded locks, into a vaulted office with the highest security clearance — sat the Central Intelligence Agency’s team of elite programmers.

They had the weighty mission of creating the hacking tools used by the C.I.A. to spy on foreign governments and terrorists. If that job description conjures Hollywood images of serious officers in dark suits huddling over clandestine operations, a different picture emerged during a federal trial in Manhattan this month.

The work culture described by C.I.A. officers on the witness stand more closely resembled comedies like “The Office” or “Silicon Valley” than spy thrillers like “Jack Ryan.”

From their cubicles, the programmers sent prank emails, taunted colleagues about their physical appearance and shot each other with Nerf guns and rubber bands, according to trial testimony.

The man on trial, Joshua Schulte, is a former C.I.A. computer engineer who is accused of stealing a massive archive of classified documents and giving them to WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy organization. Mr. Schulte, 31, has denied the allegations.

WikiLeaks published the information in 2017, the biggest leak of classified C.I.A. documents in the spy agency’s history.

Schulte Lawyers Wants Pompeo Testimony in SDNY

Now on February 17, from Schulte's "other" counsel, this: "Dear Judge Crotty: This letter is submitted in opposition to the government's letter dated February 12, 2020, seeking preclusion of testimony from now Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, who was subpoenaed by the defense pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 17. As it must, the government recognizes that the Sixth Amendment provides a defendant a fundamental right to offer the testimony of witnesses in his favor. This right is cabined only by the Rules of Evidence requiring that the witness has personal knowledge of relevant facts. See Fed.R.Evid. 401 and 602. As noted in the government's letter, Sec. Pompeo was Director of the CIA at the time of the WikiLeaks disclosure at issue in this case and for more than a year thereafter. The defense is aware that Sec. Pompeo was immediately debriefed about the WikiLeaks disclosure and he was specifically informed that Mr. Schulte was an early suspect. He was also informed that Mr. Schulte had a disciplinary history. Further, less than a week after the disclosure, Sec. Pompeo approved the substance of the first search warrant application, authorizing the FBI to make various statements therein, at least some of which later proved untrue. As such, Sec. Pompeo took an active role in the investigation and appears to have first-hand, non-hearsay information that is relevant to the charges. The defense also seeks to inquire of Sec. Pompeo whether he directed his staff to push charges against Mr. Schulte to the exclusion of anyone else or to the exclusion of exculpatory evidence."

Post Impeachment – The Worm Has Turned

Here is what happened in the past 10 days:

After the impeachment fiasco was over, things immediately started changing gears:

Voter fraud involving Democrats was exposed in Iowa.

Chris Wray referred FBI agents involved in FISA abuse to the FBI’s disciplinary office.

The National Security Council was cleaned out and trimmed down almost overnight with the removal of 73 people.

Mike Flynn’s trial was put on hold indefinitely.

Roger Stone’s case went from scary to limp in a single day when the prosecutors threatened an excessively harsh penalty, then suddenly back-peddled before all the prosecutors quit the case for unexplained reasons.

Jussie Smollett suddenly came back in the news with six new charges being laid.

The DOJ announced they are accepting Rudy Giuliani’s evidence in consideration of further investigations into Ukraine corruption.

Matt Couch announced he’s being forced to hand over all his Seth Rich material to the Rich family. He makes it sound bad, but is it really?

The family of Seth Rich is asking to get testimony from Julian Assange. Put two and two together.

Judicial Watch exposed an attempted cover-up of FBI emails relating to Seth Rich.

Trump promised the family of murdered federal border agent Brian Terry that he will declassify intel from Obama’s Fast & Furious Mexican gun-running scheme.

China is being exposed for the secret war it’s been waging against the U.S. for years. Four arrests have been made in a giant data theft operation and 1,000 more investigations into technology theft are ongoing.

AG Barr has agreed to testify before the HJC, where he will have an opportunity to devastate the Dems and the DS and expose whatever he wants to (“How do you introduce evidence legally?”). A lot could happen between now and then.

Comments here are pretty ripping:

Left-Wing Group Organized Barr Attack Letter

The letter is just another destroy-Trump mission funded by leftists to deceive and inflame the public.

he headline sounded ominous: “Former Justice Dept. Lawyers Press for Barr to Step Down,” blared an article in Sunday’s New York Times. More than 1,100 former federal prosecutors signed a letter to condemn Attorney General William Barr and encourage Justice Department employees to tattle on the nation’s top lawman if they see anything naughty.

The lawyers were outraged at Barr’s decision to override “line prosecutors,” including two holdovers from the Robert Mueller investigation, who had recommended an excessive sentence against Roger Stone. “Barr’s actions in doing the President’s personal bidding unfortunately speak louder than his words,” they wrote. “Those actions, and the damage they have done to the Department of Justice’s reputation for integrity and the rule of law, require Mr. Barr to resign.”

Times reporter Katie Benner, trying to make the stunt look like a legitimate grassroots effort, attributed the letter to Protect Democracy, which she described as a “nonprofit legal group.” But Protect Democracy is not an organic activist group spontaneously created by high-minded legal experts alarmed by Trump’s alleged flouting of the rule of law. Protect Democracy was launched in early 2017 as part of an extensive anti-Trump operation managed by a leftwing tech billionaire: Pierre Omidyar, the founder of eBay. This is who is behind Protect Democracy and a number of other nonprofits formed to destroy the president.

In 2018, according to the group’s most recent tax filing, Protect Democracy collected nearly $7 million in donations; Omidyar’s most politically-active nonprofit, Democracy Fund, has donated $2 million since 2017. Democracy Fund is spending tens of millions each year to underwrite dozens of anti-Trump projects. “Over the past two years, I have seen alarming and sometimes unprecedented violations of our country’s democratic norms,” Joe Goldman, the fund’s president, wrote in 2018.

Protect Democracy houses a number of former Democratic staffers—including a former aide to U.S. Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.)—and Obama White House alumni. Ricki Seidman, last seen advising Christine Blasey Ford, is a director for Protect Democracy.

Several NeverTrumpers also are involved with Protect Democracy; National Review columnists Mona Charen and Linda Chavez, ABC News pundit Matthew Dowd, and failed presidential candidate Evan McMullin serve as advisors. As I’ve reported before, Omidyar is the sugar daddy for many NeverTrump outlets. The Bulwark, the offshoot of the shuttered Weekly Standard, is partially funded by Omidyar: Charlie Sykes, the Bulwark’s editor-in-chief, serves on the board of Democracy Fund.

Omidyar also funds Republicans for the Rule of Law, headed by Bill Kristol; Lawfare, a central peddler of Russian collusion hoax propaganda; R Street, home to disgraced FBI lawyer James Baker; and Stand-Up Republic, headed by McMullin. All have been on the attack against Trump and Barr.

The letter dominated social media on Sunday; #FormerJusticeDept trended most of the day. Other news outlets picked up Benner’s misleading account of the stunt. But despite what the Times and other reporters want the public to believe, it was far from authentic—just another Destroy Trump mission funded by leftists to deceive and inflame the public.
