In Ellen Brown’s brilliant new article “Mexico’s AMLO Shows How It’s Done”, the researcher and national banking advocate made the powerful point that the only way to properly fight the neo-liberal order is for nations of the west to follow the lead of Mexico’s current President Lopez Obrador who recently announced the creation of a new network of national banks- of which over 3238 branches will be in operation by 2021. Obrador’s stated aim is to have 13 000 branches built across Mexico which would far outnumber the total number of all private banks and will also provide a vital tool for the economic liberation of Mexico.
This act is nothing short of heresy in the corridors of the neoliberal priesthood of our modern age. The “economic foundation” upon which today’s globalized world are premised assert that nation states may not participate in the marketplace. No price controls, no protective tariffs, no bank regulation and certainly no national banks. Following this gospel, nations are permitted to do war and promote various forms of population control… but nothing that pollutes the purity of the supposedly “free market”.
Of course, simply utilizing national banking practices by themselves is not a full solution. A fascist regime can of course, use national banks for destructive ends just as a democratic republic can use them for positive ends, and as we have seen over the years, the financial oligarchy has no problem supporting fascist regimes such as Hitler’s Germany or Mussolini’s Italy nor do they have any problem supporting “national Keynesian initiatives” so long as they are done under an anti-human Green New Deal frame work.

Critical Bug in WordPress Theme Plugin Opens 200,000 Sites to Hackers
A popular WordPress theme plugin with over 200,000 active installations contains a severe but easy-to-exploit software vulnerability that, if left unpatched, could let unauthenticated remote attackers compromise a wide range of websites and blogs.
The vulnerable plugin in question is 'ThemeGrill Demo Importer' that comes with free as well as premium themes sold by the software development company ThemeGrill.
ThemeGrill Demo Importer plugin has been designed to allow WordPress site admins to import demo content, widgets, and settings from ThemeGrill, making it easier for them to quickly customize the theme.
According to a report WebARX security company shared with The Hacker News, when a ThemeGrill theme is installed and activated, the affected plugin executes some functions with administrative privileges without checking whether the user running the code is authenticated and is an admin.
The flaw could eventually allow unauthenticated remote attackers to wipe the entire database of targeted websites to its default state, after which they will also be automatically logged in as an administrator, allowing them to take complete control over the sites.

Eastern Oregon Wants A Divorce: County-By-County Initiative Underway To Join Idaho
Several counties in eastern Oregon have mounted an initiative to move the state’s border, making them part of the neighboring state of Idaho.
Citing a very different culture, citizens in the more rural eastern counties of Oregon said that the laws passed in the progressive urban center of Portland have been at best unhelpful to their families and their way of life — and their solution, it seems, is to flip several of the more conservative counties into Idaho, moving the state’s border.

Mike Bloomberg: I Will Charge Americans With 'Domestic Terrorism' For 'Hate Crimes' If Elected
Billionaire presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said he will charge Americans with "domestic terrorism" for "hate crimes" if elected and bashed "nativists" in America before affirming his commitment to Israel remaining a "Jewish state" in a recent interview with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

Big Tech Thought Control: Siri Will No Longer Say the Word “Gun”
According to a report from Paul Joseph Watson, Siri’s voice assistant is now refusing to say the word “gun” when used on an IPad.
Twitter user Tracy Connors posted a video of herself making an attempt to have Siri read out a Daily Caller article with the title of “Virginia House of Delegates Passes Gun Ban, Seizure Bill”.
Rather than giving a response by saying the word ‘gun’, Siri spelled out the world letter by letter, G-U-N.

State Department Contracting Officer Sentenced to Prison for Bribery and Procurement Fraud Scheme
A contracting officer with the U.S. Department of State was sentenced today to 87 months of imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release after he was convicted of 13 counts of conspiracy, bribery, honest services wire fraud and making false statements.
Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney G. Zachary Terwilliger of the Eastern District of Virginia, Special Agent in Charge Marc Meyer of the U.S. Department of State Office of Inspector General and Assistant Director in Charge Timothy R. Slater of the FBI’s Washington Field Office made the announcement.
Zaldy N. Sabino, 60, of Fort Washington, Maryland, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Liam O’Grady after Sabino’s conviction on Oct. 4, 2019. In addition to his term of imprisonment, Sabino was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine.

Trump Proposes 25% Cut For European Deterrence Initiative (EDI), As POTUS Forces Europe To Pay Its Way
It is no secret that U.S. President Donald Trump is leery of funding Europe’s defense, believing that NATO members on The Continent should pay more for their own security. The budget blueprint released by The White House last week confirmed this way of thinking as support for the European Defense Initiative started under President Obama saw reductions.
Budget proposals for fiscal 2021 released Monday afternoon call for 4.5 billion US dollars for the European Deterrence Initiative (EDI), a fund started by the Obama administration in the aftermath of Russia’s 2014 invasion of parts of eastern Ukraine and annexation of the Crimean peninsula. The latest proposal represents a precipitous drop from the 6 billion dollars enacted for the current fiscal year and 6.5 billion dollars the year before. Congress approved funding in line with administration requests for those years, says the report quoted by Postimees, reported The Baltic Times.

Washington State House Passes Gun Grabbing Bill
Washington state is a fairly odd place. While they’re still a “shall issue” state for concealed carry permits, they’ve otherwise gone full-on gun grabber. I-1639 was a particularly egregious example of why direct democracy can produce absolutely awful results, but it’s far from the whole story. The truth is, the state doesn’t like guns anymore and now they’re working to make life difficult for those who disagree.
One such example out there right now is a bill that just made it through the state House.
Courts could be one step closer to ordering people subject to vulnerable adult protection orders to surrender their firearms after the House voted 55 to 42 on Friday, Feb. 14 in favor of a bill that expands authority to do so.
House Bill 2305 would allow courts issuing a Vulnerable Adult Protection Order to consider whether a person named as an abuser should surrender their firearms, or concealed carry licence
