Hyperbole at its best, this group of federal judges, conflates all 1,100 judges in the association agree with the leaderships decision about Barr

This whole story about the entire federal judges association is not under the federal judiciary functions. Basically they are a lobbying group for membership and there are other associations of federal judges. Like any association it’s group pf judges (or professionals) that get together, make rules, research, advocates for themselves, raise money, give membership benefits etc. it’s a membership organization just like US Chamber of Commerce, AARP, lawyer associations, ie you pay to be a member. Describing what they are, it definitely doesn’t mean 1,100 judges in the association agree with the leadership calling an emergency meeting. I’m an insurance broker and I’m part of National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) that doesn’t mean I agree on everything the association advocates for, and really I don’t get a vote to participate in leadership matters.

So it’s all smoke and mirrors because as you can see below, Rufe is calling for a leadership meeting, not a meeting of the entire association. So it’s wise to investigate who are those in leadership

Washington (CNN)The leaders of a group of federal judges will meet Tuesday to "address growing concerns" about the recent intervention of President Donald Trump and the Justice Department in "politically sensitive cases," USA Today reports

Philadelphia US District Judge Cynthia Rufe, who serves as president of the 1,100-member Federal Judges Association, told USA Today that the group "could not wait" until a regularly scheduled April conference to discuss a "deepening crisis" involving the department and Barr. She said members called for Tuesday's meeting following Trump's criticism of the original sentencing recommendation for Stone, according to USA Today.
