I care a lot.

And you're absolutely right. It needs to be done.

But I also think it's important to look at contradictions when they occur…because they're interesting.

 

On one hand we want to increase regulation of an industry, while on the other, we want to promote 'less government'. Where is the sweet spot?

 

What about the precedence it sets?

How would the Democrats handle industry regulation if they were facing a hostile media on our side?

 

If an altruistic business man builds his business empire through genuine hard work and skill, to a point where he dominates his competitors, is it the role of the Government to step in and dismantle it?

Do we take into consideration the lost tax revenue and reduced re-investment in the economy if we prohibit him growing any larger?

There's one particular Australian that is very much responsible for the media monopoly.

I wonder if he also swears allegiance to a higher loyalty?…
