Flynn Defense Hits Mueller’s Prosecutor Brandon Van Grack – Accuses Him of Suppressing Evidence to ‘Protect His Team From Discovery of Their Crimes’

General Mike Flynn’s defense team on Tuesday hit Mueller’s prosecutor Brandon Van Grack in a new filing in support of his motion to dismiss the case for “egregious government misconduct.”

Flynn’s defense argued the government withheld evidence exculpatory to Flynn as a series of retaliatory actions against Flynn.

Flynn’s lawyers accused Brandon Van Grack of suppressing evidence to protect “the prosecutors, his team, and the cadre of malfeasant FBI agents from the discovery of their negligence, crimes, and wrongs.”

“Mr. Van Grack has suppressed evidence from the formation of the “Special Counsel Investigation” and likely even prior to it — for the very purpose of putting Mr. Flynn in the unjust position he now occupies while protecting the prosecutors, his team, and the cadre of malfeasant FBI agents from the discovery of their negligence, crimes, and wrongs,” Flynn’s lawyer wrote.

“There is a veritable litany of government misconduct here that is “outrageous” or “grossly shocking” and mandates dismissal of this prosecution.”

Last Monday Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan canceled General Flynn’s sentencing scheduled for February 27 “until further order of the court.”

General Flynn formally asked to withdraw his guilty plea last month and accused federal prosecutors of “egregious government misconduct.”

Federal prosecutors then backed down and offered Flynn probation after asking for up to six months prison time.

Flynn’s lawyers are still working through withdrawing Flynn’s guilty plea because the government asked for an extension to consider Flynn’s motion to withdraw his plea.

Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell opposed the extension and argued, “The Department of Justice should agree to the withdrawal of the plea. Accordingly we oppose any further extension of the briefing schedule.”

So Judge Sullivan indefinitely postponed Flynn’s sentencing hearing.

Sidney Powell appeared on Fox News this weekend and blasted the crooked FBI cabal and Brandon Van Grack for ‘losing’ the FBI 302 report on General Flynn.

The United States Is in Syria Illegally as a Proxy for Israel and Saudi Arabia

The first week in February was memorable for the failed impeachment of President Donald Trump, the “re-elect me” State of the Union address and the marketing of a new line of underwear by Kim Kardashian. Given all of the excitement, it was easy to miss a special State Department press briefing by Ambassador James Jeffrey held on February 5th regarding the current situation in Syria.

Jeffrey is the United States Special Representative for Syria Engagement and the Special Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIL. Jeffrey has had a distinguished career in government service, attaining senior level State Department positions under both Democratic and Republican presidents. He has served as U.S. Ambassador to both Turkey and Iraq. He is, generally speaking, a hardliner politically, closely aligned with Israel and regarding Iran as a hostile destabilizing force in the Middle East region. He was between 2013 and 2018 Philip Solondz distinguished fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), a think tank that is a spin-off of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He is currently a WINEP “Outside Author” and go-to “expert.”

Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt, academic dean at Harvard University ‘s Kennedy School of Government, describe WINEP as “part of the core” of the Israel Lobby in the U.S. They examined the group on pages 175-6 in their groundbreaking book The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy and concluded as follows:

“Although WINEP plays down its links to Israel and claims that it provides a ‘balanced and realistic’ perspective on Middle East issues, this is not the case. In fact, WINEP is funded and run by individuals who are deeply committed to advancing Israel’s agenda … Many of its personnel are genuine scholars or experienced former officials, but they are hardly neutral observers on most Middle East issues and there is little diversity of views within WINEP’s ranks.”

In early 2018 Jeffrey co-authored a WINEP special report on Syria which urged “…the Trump administration [to] couple a no-fly/no-drive zone and a small residual ground presence in the northeast with intensified sanctions against the Assad regime’s Iranian patron. In doing so, Washington can support local efforts to stabilize the area, encourage Gulf partners to ‘put skin in the game, drive a wedge between Moscow and Tehran, and help Israel avoid all-out war.”

Note the focus on Iran and Russia as threats and the referral to Assad and his government as a “regime.” And the U.S. presence is to “help Israel.” So we have Ambassador James Jeffrey leading the charge on Syria, from an Israeli perspective that is no doubt compatible with the White House view, which explains why he has become Special Representative for Syria Engagement.

Multiple People Found Dead Inside Camping Tent In Delaware Woods: Police

STATION, Delaware — Around 3:00 p.m. local time Tuesday, Troopers responded to a wooded area located in the 500 block of Main St., Stanton, in reference to four adults that were found dead inside a tent.

Few details were known but police said, “no foul play is suspected at this time.”

The victims will be turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

CBP Nabs 15 In Human Smuggling Event as They Attempted To Blend In With Weekend Boaters Off California

SAN DIEGO—U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 15 people involved in a maritime smuggling event over the holiday weekend at Mission Bay.

The incident occurred on Sunday, at around 2 p.m., when agents observed a smuggling event in progress on a Cabin Cruiser fishing boat at the Ski Beach launch ramp in Mission Bay.

Agents approached the boat, agents saw a large group of individuals rapidly exiting the vessel, attempting to load into three separate get away vehicles. Agents questioned the 15 people and determined they were involved in a maritime smuggling event. All 15 people were arrested including six suspected human smugglers. The 15 detainees were transported to a Border Patrol station for processing.

Of the men arrested, nine were Mexican nationals ranging from 27 to 41 years old who admitted to being illegally present in the U.S. Six other people were arrested for human smuggling, including a 46-year-old Mexican national who was identified as the boat’s captain.

The Border Patrol identified five additional smugglers, all U.S. citizens, including four adult men ranging from 20 to 30 years old and one 25-year-old woman.

The six human smugglers face federal charges. The boat and the three vehicles were seized by U.S. Border Patrol.

What happened:

The former director of Mississippi's Department of Human Services, John Davis, was arrested for embezzling millions of dollars from welfare funds. Some of the funds went to a former WWE wrestler who was allegedly being paid to give classes on drug abuse. In reality, the money was paying for the wrestler’s own posh drug rehab.

He never taught a class. According to the auditor's office, Davis and another DHS employee made fake invoices to pay Brett DiBiase — a former pro wrestler who later became a DHS employee — with money intended to help poor families. DiBiase is the son of well-known former pro wrestler Ted DiBiase.

Embezzled funds were also funneled to other co-conspirators through their businesses, using fake documents and forged signatures.

What this means:

The stolen money came from a federal grant for state welfare programs, so this doesn’t just affect Mississipians.

It’s unclear right now exactly how much money was stolen. But over $30 million tax dollars were granted to the Mississippi Community Education Center, which is owned and operated by a mother-son team who have been arrested and charged in the fraud. Just makes you wonder how many of these types of schemes go under the radar.

When the government has so much of your money to give away, it’s bound to happen.

US Judge Rejects Huawei Challenge to Federal Law Restricting Its Business

A federal judge in Texas on Tuesday rejected Chinese telecommunications equipment maker Huawei Technologies’ constitutional challenge to a U.S. law that restricted its ability to do business with federal agencies and their contractors.

In a 57-page decision, U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant ruled in favor of the United States, concluding that Congress acted within its powers by including the restriction in the National Defense Authorization Act, which also targeted Chinese company, ZTE Corp.
