Have you tried Spybot's Anti-Beacon for Win10 (free)? Use it on all W10 rigs, go for full install to persist across reboots (checks for MS trying to re-enable what you've blocked on every boot, and re-blocks if change attempted/found).
If people think they know the truth already, from their trusted outlets, they don't even go looking for alternative views on a story.
Mostly, it's mis-placed and abused trust. People largely gave up critical thought, entrusting this to others who do not have their best interests at heart.
When that trust is created or implied, the people give away their power of discernment.

If honest and objective journalism is to be the only way the MSM survives, and social media platforms have censorship constraints shucked away, we have a whole generation of people coming through who are constantly connected to the digital world and everyone they're attached too.
When I hear people complaining of kids not being able to put down their phones, I have to smile.
Their attention on the digital world may well end up being the best way of ensuring that the ways and deeds we are apparently saying goodbye to now, can never return.
