SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (AP) — "A female security guard was stabbed to death at a library in suburban New York Tuesday afternoon and a man was taken into custody after library patrons tackled him.
“A security guard, keeping others safe was viciously stabbed at the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley, and she later died of her injuries,” state Sen. David Carlucci said in a statement.
Police were called to the library shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Paramedics aided the victim but she was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Neither her identity nor that of the suspect have been released."
