I agree, and I tend to think of God as the "source code" to a running computer program which would be our reality - it is governed by certain natural laws, those of physics and "metaphysics" (whatever you want to call laws which we haven't grasped yet).
We are very, very close to God, for our consciounsness does not fit at all into the deterministic "objective reality". Proof - Dean Radin's experiments.
