Anons, about this story–it's another case of assassination by headline.
The headline is:
>Donald Trump 'offered Julian Assange a pardon if he denied Russia link to hack'
President Trump denies a close association with Dana Rohrbacher, who supposedly tried to carry this out. Furthermore, there's this:
>Rohrabacher told the Wall Street Journal that as part of the deal he was proposing, Assange would have to hand over a computer drive or other data storage device that would prove that Russia was not the source of the hacked emails.
The headline implies that POTUS was offering a pardon if Assange denied a Russian link, not if he proved it. That's two completely different things.
The Daily Beast needs to be called out for this.
