In South Africa back in the 80s, nurses and doctors would arrive at the school one day. We'd have to all go down to the hall and take our clothes off and stand there one at a time in front of the nurses. They would come vaccinate us and also check our balls. I don't know what they did with the girls, but obviously similar.
That was very weird. I grew up in South Africa in the 80s.

As kids of 6 or 7, we'd have to have routine inspections from nurses and doctors who made us stand naked in the hall in front of them. They did check our height, weight, balls.
Classes were small, about 20 to 30 kids in each class.
We'd get canings, beatings by the teachers often.
Some teachers would hit us with wooden boards or cricket bats or even just their bare hands, or a cane. I received many.
On the whole it seemed pretty normal, very academic and sports orientated.
