Carlin could see the Truth and made a career out of revealing it in a way that deeply resonated with people.
This can be a very powerful weapon in destroying “preemptive beliefs”, like man made climate change (eg watch Carlin’s bit on “saving the planet”). Two other comedians who share this gift of communication that come to mind are Bill Hicks and Dave Chappell.
While Trump also has the gift of SEEing the Truth and the use of comedy to convey it, he also clearly has the vision and courage to do something about.

I also encourage people to read every book (they are short and easy to read) he wrote and listen to every interview you can find. Note: he leaned left early on, but distinguished himself as an independent thinker with his book on Gender (1983?) which throw a wrench into feminism.
