Being disregarded and unrecognized is still a shitty way to live.

Be nice if the character building was for/leading to something… but nothing is guaranteed and I really don't want to be left out in the cold where I started.

"Great! Y'all have fun. I'll just… fuck off, then."

Something to show for the effort would be nice.

Still not what I'm getting at.

It's not about gratification.

I'm not looking to be paraded around.

I just want a place in the world, which has never been available to me (outside of becoming an NPC style giving up).

No guarantees the future won't hold more of the same.

I wouldn't be doing any of this if I felt there was no hope.

Why attempt to make the world a better place if you don't legit believe it's possible?

And to me… a better world is one where everyone isn't so up their own that they have no concerns for anyone or anything other than themselves.

I never vibed with that and people get pissed at me for "not playing the game".

Just. So. Tired. Of. Fucking. Games.

>So let me ask you this, what might, as you say, your place in a future, non-clown-world look like?

I'd be a part of a community of people… IRL.

Be able to work in a manner where I'm not scraping by and if I was… someone would at least notice or care.

Have my work recognized instead of being used and abused for it.

Basically… normalcy with a side of comfy.

Never been available to me.

I'd like that.

A family might be nice, too.

Never really had much of one… not exactly sure what to do with one, but I know plenty of things to not do and I think I'd be pretty solid at it, assuming the first part (of this list) came to fruition.
