Most Canadians I've spoken to would legitimately welcome annexation with open arms at this point. "STOP TEASING US AND JUST DO IT ALREADY" is a response I've heard more than a few times when bringing up the subject. Thinks aren't good there right now, and their government is corrupt on a whole other level, basically a shell used by the CCP and whoever else.
Personally, I think we should take Canada, Greenland, Mexico, Central America all the way down to Panama, all of the Caribbean that isn't EU controlled, the Compact islands, the Philippines and Liberia but I'm a crazy person so what do I know?
I've seen enough documentaries on the place to know that there's a ton of untapped potential in the Congo, not just in the natural resources but in the people. They've been exploited by a special brand of evil in this world.

November 3rd is the election this year. I'm far from the first one to bring that up but deserves mentioning.
I can offer some little insight into martial law and the National Guard. I'm relatively young compared to some here and live in a major liberal metro, a hotbed for radical leftist activity. The leftist commie types I know or know about personally are FAR past caring about elections. They're planning on violent overthrow no matter who wins, it's all they're talking about. And if I've heard chatter about it, you can damn well be sure the NSA or whoever monitors these groups knows exactly what they're planning. I expect the "massive riots" Q mentioned is making reference to what these people are planning.
Don't worry, they're stupid, weak and mostly a danger to themselves. But a danger nonetheless.

Local PDs have their hands tied, and there's a good chance when this all does down that local [D] authorities (mayors, maybe even governors) will not comply with federal orders. Hence why the NG and martial law will be necessary.

Most in that group are hopefully young enough that they'll see reason, but a lot of the 4-6% reside in there as well.
