those are more secondary characteristics. those characteristics would be confirmations of the following.

 

imo, the main points upon which to focus are the large skeletal structures, hips to torso/shoulders.

 

The female waist starts much higher than a male's and ends much lower.

 

Q-angles are important as they are congruent with the pelvic arch.

 

for example,

the female pelvis has an avg arch of about 100 deg to 120 deg. Knowing this, you can tell by ambulation, seating, and generally standing if it is a M or F pelvis.

such a difference between male and female would allow a woman to cross one leg over the other higher up the thigh than men, as a consequence.
