Anons, this post from late pb needs more attention.

Anon there is seeking help re archives from GermanArchiveAnon that don't work.

For my own reasons, I've reached the conclusion that GermanArchiveAnon is a shill who pretends to archive but doesn't.

I have downloaded multiple files from the mega.nz site and they DO NOT contain the media files posted in the breads, only the thumbnails.

There is quite simply NO reasonable explanation for someone to routinely pose as an archivist while archiving only thumbnails.

MANY, MANY anons have devoted ENORMOUS effort to producing media material that they expect is getting archived.

Those you trust the most!

Not sure of the explanation.

But it is easy for Anons to test.

Go to the GermanArchiveAnon "Archive" link at the top of the bread, and try random bread archives (recent months). Do you get full media files? Post links so Anons can confirm your results.

If a memefag posts only meme templates is he a memefag?

If an archivist quite literally doesn't archive, is he an archivist? What is he?

Anons, any codefags… I can sorta read bash sometimes but I'm not so great at it… is this legit?

This LOOKS likes its removing files between 1050 and 1070 bytes. IS that what it is doing? Not sure of the syntax? WHY?

HTML files are text files, not image files.

It seems any reasonable test would check the actual text, not the file size.

Not sure how DDOS schemes work, but sure as fuck know that html files are text files.

Well, for one thing, if you're archiving, you DON'T USE HACKS. You ARCHIVE what is there, without presuming you know WHY it is there. THAT is what archiving IS.

No "hacks" are needed to download a damn webpage with media files. Put a timer on it and you won't get "marked" as a DDOSer.

There is literally no such thing as an HTML "blob". HTML files are text files: you can see EXACTLY what is there. "Blobs" are executables that do not have source code available.
