Yeah. The old 8ch code at least kept the posts and would still render HTML for threads that have fallen off the catalog, even though it didn't keep the image files. The new code just gives an error.

Eventually I'll upload my ~700GB of 8ch and 165GB+ of 8kun somewhere. But that will be after this is history.

>This LOOKS likes its removing files between 1050 and 1070 bytes.

Correct. The DDOS mitigation sometimes coughs up a "Validating your browserโ€ฆ" HTML page in place of the requested image file. They are always in that size range; and very few legit images are.

Yeah. But this was an easy hack. It also a lot faster than opening a million files and grepping for "<html>". Images in that size range are very infrequent. I only have 5 out of 300k images. I can examine those files manually.

>Put a timer on it and you won't get "marked" as a DDOSer.

I don't. This was for when the server require that VanwaNet cookie that rolled over at the top of the hour. You probably remember everyone complaining that images stopped working and needing to refresh the page. I had to manually copy-and-paste my browser's cooking into a โ€“header script argument. If the change happened while wget was doing it's thing I'd have hundred of little HTML blobs all through my file_store directory. This was an easy way to clean them out before I restarted. This function is currently vestigial.
