It almost happened to me when I was 10.
Pops had "mid-life crisis"/"nervous breakdown" or whatever you wanna call it.
Part of me still questions certain things, like why the psychiatrist he was seeing at the time seemed to make things much worse, or whether or not the meds he was on played any role.
Either way, fucked my childhood up pretty good. Although, the state managed to fuck up the rest of my life even moar.
Oh, well. Better luck next life, I guess. Only a few more decades of this shit left to go now…
