You folks are making me quote a lot of Jesus today:

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

 

We are here, giving of ourselves (some anonymously) to the cause of freedom for all. And as another anon said:

No, but you missed the point on purpose to deflect. The point is, it's OK for anons to feel pride in what they do, here. Doesn't matter what YOUR perceived purpose for their feeling that way is. For you to question it is to sow doubt and confusion.

 

Like your post re: pushups that had nothing to do with giving anonymously. The point is it doesn't matter if people know. What matters is that God knows. He even knows if the reasoning is for good/bad to gain favor with Him, too, because:

“I the Lord search the heart

and examine the mind,

to reward each person according to their conduct,

according to what their deeds deserve.”

 

We don't do good deeds to gain favor with God because he would see through that. We do good deeds because we're led by the Spirit to do so. This pleases God, and recharges our spiritual batteries, too. In the end, it boils down to:
