I've been thinking about this. Gave up my account for Lent. Lent is almost over. Can start fresh. But. Is it worth it? I sense that any account managing any real info will be shadowbanned within days. Wouldn't mind a little discussion on the subject, though.

Actually, I did exactly that for local offices about ten years ago. I think I can recreate it without doxing.

 

First, figure out how thick your skin is. 8ch is good training, but shitposting can hurt a lot more face to face. And it will happen.

 

Next, decide how big you want to go. Local, school board, county, state, or national?

 

Running is easy. It's winning that can be tough.

That depends a great deal on the groundwork that you've laid and the story you can sell.

 

It's going to make a difference as to where/what you want to do. Might be time to get specific.

 

Also, in many parts of the country, the smaller, more local races have just been (or are about to be) voted.

 

If you have a hankering for congress, however, time is of the essence. Lots of dates shut down by June 1 for the primary.
