Formed a cartel to control supply and manage risk of volatile spice prices.

Killed native populations for Dutch plantations.

Flag was red, white and blue.

As a side note, I did this research back when I was looking into starforts. New Amsterdam (NYC) was a starfort. I still don't know if they built the 1000's of starforts or took them over.

I don't even remember where I found it all. Start with Dutch East India company. It should back track you to VOC. As for the heirs just look up the committee of 300 and who and what they do today. I doubt the names will surprise you.
