I was thinking it might have something to do with also helping to expose and bring down Twitter, who will no doubt be deleting tweets and shadow banning.
It was cut off in October 2016 after the second release of Hilary emails.

October 15 News report Oct 18 says Pamela Anderson visited “Saturday”, during daytime
October 15 Wikileaks tweet Oct 17 that Assange internet cut off Saturday 5 pm GMT
Oct 15 & 16 John Kerry in Switzerland , then the UK on these days. Some allege he put pressure on UK and Switzerland re Assange and Wikileaks dumps
October 16 Wikileaks tweets 3 precommitments labeled “John Kerry” “Ecuador” “UK FCO”
October 16 Anon tweets “Wikileaks tweeted sha256sum coded messages, not deadman keys”
October 16? John Kerry visits UK, personally persuades Ecuadorian Embassy to stop Assange
October 16 Wikileaks tweets SHA 256 pre release key
October 17 Wikileaks tweets “we have activated the appropriate contingency plans”
October 18 Ecuador Embassy announces Assange internet access cut, still has asylum
October 18 News report Oct 18, 11th batch of Clinton related emails, Podesta related
October 18 Pamela Anderson oddly visits Assange, takes vegan lunch
October 18 Hours later witnesses photograph heavily armed guards around embassy
October 18 Everyone is barred from approaching embassy, have cell phones confiscated
October 18 Fox news reports Assange will be arrested “within hours”
October 18 Assange no longer seen at his embassy window again (until May 19 2017)
He was still in the embassy in February 2018, contrary to what many anons here have speculated. He was photographed with a visitor and I confirmed the furniture was identical to previous interviews in 2016 with other visitors. I confirmed that the Assange guest was indeed in London giving a speech and said he visited Assange. I have always hoped that Assange was somehow free, but it truly does not fit the facts.

Does anyone else feel a tad concerned regarding Obamas motivations in meeting with all these leaders? Are the “photo ops” with smiling world leaders thumbing his nose at Trump? Are they trying to shore up his waning power in the cabal?
And is Hilary still incapacitated in India, or did she finally come home? Who did she meet with in Australia?

Mar 19 2018 Obama visit to Singapore prime minister. “Last night, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong caught up with former US President Barack Obama for the first time since they met at APEC 2016 at Lima, Peru, in November that year. In town for a short stopover to speak at a private lecture held by the Bank of Singapore (a subsidiary of OCBC Bank) at Shangri-La Hotel yesterday, the 44th US President apparently had “much to talk about” during his dinner with PM Lee.” Photo OP

Mar 21 2018 Obama visits New Zealand. “He flew into the country in a private Gulfstream jet before being whisked away in a Crown limo, part of a six-vehicle motorcade. He was ferried to Northland on Wednesday morning by helicopter to play golf at one on the country's exclusive courses, Kauri Cliffs.“There are other indulgent aspects to his flying visit, during which he'll speak to about 1000 invited guests at an event run by the NZ-US Council in Auckland on Thursday. That event's sponsored by Air New Zealand, Westpac and Mastercard.”
Mar 22 2018 Obama visits Australia, spoke at a private event. Met with Australian leader. “Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said on Thursday he was due to “catch up and have a chat” with the former president, who is on a week-long tour of Australia, NZ, Singapore and Japan. Just before 5pm Mr Turnbull shared a picture of the pair meeting in what appeared to be a hotel suite, accompanied with the caption: “Welcome back to Australia President @BarackObama.” Photo OP.

Mar 26 Kim Jong Un in China. Rumors abound, confirmed later in the day on the 27th. “North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has pledged to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula during his first meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, according to China's state news agency. Xinhua on Wednesday quoted Kim saying that the issue could be resolved if South Korea and the United States responds to Pyongyang's efforts "with goodwill".”
