Illuminati anyanon?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illuminati

"Adam Weishaupt (1748–1830) became professor of Canon Law and practical philosophy at the University of Ingolstadt in 1773. He was the only non-clerical professor at an institution run by Jesuits, whose order Pope Clement XIV had dissolved in 1773. The Jesuits of Ingolstadt, however, still retained the purse strings and some power at the University, which they continued to regard as their own. They made constant attempts to frustrate and discredit non-clerical staff, especially when course material contained anything they regarded as liberal or Protestant. Weishaupt became deeply anti-clerical, resolving to spread the ideals of the Enlightenment (Aufklärung) through some sort of secret society of like-minded individuals."

IT WAS A HONEY POT FOR INTELLECTUALS

"THE 18TH-CENTURY GERMAN thinker Adam Weishaupt would have been stunned if he had known his ideas would one day fuel global conspiracy theories, and inspire best-selling novels and blockbuster films.

Until he was 36, the vast majority of his compatriots would have been equally stunned to discover that this outwardly respectable professor was a dangerous enemy of the state, whose secret society, the Illuminati, was seen to threaten the very fabric of society.

Born in 1748 in Ingolstadt, a city in the Electorate of Bavaria (now part of modern-day Germany), Weishaupt was a descendant of Jewish converts to Christianity. Orphaned at a young age, his scholarly uncle took care of his education, and enrolled him in a Jesuit school. After completing his studies, Weishaupt became a professor of natural and canon law at the University of Ingolstadt, married, and started a family. On the surface, it was a conventional enough career—until 1784 when the Bavarian state learned of his incendiary ideas."

THE BAVARIAN ILLUMINATI

attracted Masons and other Intellectuals but it was a trap and Weishapt was working for the Jesuit order the entire time.

" had to present a detailed report on the titles of the books he owned, the identity of his enemies, and the weak points of his character."

"At a time, however, when there was no end of making game of and abusing secret societies, I planned to make use of this human foible for a real and worthy goal, for the benefit of people. I wished to do what the heads of the ecclesiastical and secular authorities ought to have done by virtue of their offices"

NO END OF MAKING GAME OF AND ABUSING SECRET SOCIETIES

"Weishaupt was initiated into the Masonic lodge "Theodor zum guten Rath", at Munich in 1777. His project of "illumination, enlightening the understanding by the sun of reason, which will dispel the clouds of superstition and of prejudice" was an unwelcome reform.[18] He used Freemasonry to recruit for his own quasi-masonic society, with the goal of "perfecting human nature" through re-education to achieve a communal state with nature, freed of government and organized religion. Presenting their own system as pure masonry, Weishaupt and Adolph Freiherr Knigge, who organised his ritual structure, greatly expanded the secret organisation"

SURE YOU WERE LITTLE BUDDY

"Freemasonry was steadily expanding throughout Europe in this period, offering attractive alternatives to freethinkers. Weishaupt initially thought of joining a lodge. Disillusioned with many of the Freemasons’ ideas, however, he became absorbed in books dealing with such esoteric themes as the Mysteries of the Seven Sages of Memphis and the Kabbala, and decided to found a new secret society of his own."

"The Bavarian Illuminati

Perhaps the group most closely associated with the name illuminati was a short-lived movement of republican free thought founded on May Day 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, professor of canon law at Ingolstadt and a former Jesuit. "

"In 1784, just eight years after the order was formed, writings from the order were intercepted in Bavaria and the group was declared seditious and the order was banned. Weishaupt lost his position at the university and fled Bavaria. Once Weishaupt left Bavaria the order collapsed and the Order of the Illuminati came to an end. He wrote four books on the Illuminati over a three year period while in exile. They were A Complete History of the Persecutions of the Illuminati in Bavaria (1785), A Picture of Illuminism (1786), An Apology for the Illuminati (1786), and An Improved System of Illuminism (1787)."

MOAR KEK

I could on like this all day.

The point is that Weishaupt was always a Catholic Jesuit and all of this Bavarian Illuminati/Masonry bullshit was a honeypot for Intellectuals who along with Free Masonry threatened the power of the Roman Catholic Church.

They were lured into a "secret" society that was used simply to expose them at some later date. 8 years later to be exact.

It was a plot, a ruse, a show and it was very effective. So much so that even Thomas Jefferson initially thought that it was a good thing!

Become a student of History, read many many good books before you decide which way to spread your light as otherwise perhaps it is not light that you spread but darkness….

lastly there is a symbol being tossed about yet so few seem to know its origins.
