FYI succession planning and questions almost always come up on the calls and has been something the management team at Berkshire has discussed for at least the last 5 years since I have been paying attention

These comments are to reassure investors that the company has a succession plan and will not be caught off-guard if and when Warren and Charlie do depart or pass

That is the context of these statements

(You) can get your panties all knotted up thinking something big is coming at Berkshire but these comments are in line with annual letters and public statements

Click bait journalism IMO, conjuring drama out of business succession planning comments
