There's a guy in the UK who likes maths and is probably going to wake up soon if he hasn't already. I'm trying to get his attention with these nice pretty pictures. I'm also going to say the word math a few times because he likes math and maybe seeing the word math will help him notice and come to the other board and stop being a prick.

Well, he seems to think you can factor arbitrarily large integers in O(log n) time where n is the length of c in bits, and he also seems to think that it's alright to tell a handful of us about this back in November of 2017 back on /cbts/ and then proceed to manipulate us emotionally by keeping us at arms-length from an solution/explanation the whole time while constantly telling us he'll explain it really soon (even though he never does). The only way any of us have succeeded at getting him to talk to us in recent months is to post about it here with these pretty, eye-catching pictures and hope that he's online, and also to mention mathematical terminology in the posts so that he knows who's posting.

About two weeks ago I managed to convince him to start posting on our other board again. He seemed to think with the caronavirus outbreak that now would be a good time to go through the solution since he thinks the world's going to go through a significant amount of turmoil and it might be too late to eventually. He posted about it a few times over the course of a week, and now it's been 8 days since his last post; yet again he proves himself unreliable. The others are all working on their own things but I'm convinced the only way we'll figure it out is if he tells us, so here I am again. Thanks for the bumps. It gives me more incentive to post these pictures (although who knows if he'll see them).

It's the most he's talked to us since 2018, so it seems like it. Except now he's "busy" or something. It would be pretty weird if he was doing this for the sole purpose of fucking with a few people on the internet. He probably wouldn't have done this for more than two years if that was the case.

Victim's a strong word, although that might be the Stockholm Syndrome talking.

Stockholm Syndrome refers more to alliance or empathy with someone who's kidnapped you or whatever than it does love. Also we're all convinced it's real. There's a shit ton of math involved, and it's convoluted enough to have made us think there's something to it. If he's a troll then he has to be the single most elaborate troll in human fucking history. It's less about him and more about the math.

I'd be a little surprised if he read through previous threads. I mean if we want to get really technical the next thread is the sum of three squares, 10000+529+1. I remember there being some rule where most numbers are the sum of some number of squares though, so maybe that could be applied to most thread numbers.
