Old fag here, I grew up in those times. I went to Catholic School and had many relatives around. Everyone had big families. We were poor but did not know it. Everyone watched out for each other and all the mothers were home during the day. All the families had a ton of kids. There was no adulation of material things.

One thing that struck me about Trayvon Martin's and Micheal Bennett's moms is they were both in nail salons when their kids were killed. I am a women who raised 3 kids alone and a nail salon was the furthest thing from my mind.
