Queensland police shoot man dead in Brisbane CBD ‘holding a knife

Two overseas visitors to Brisbane were targeted in a terrifying “unexplained” attack this morning that left one man in hospital with a stab wound, while the alleged attacker was shot dead in the CBD.

A Queensland Police spokesman told reporters this afternoon that a couple were walking near Mary and Edward streets, when a man walking towards them stopped and allegedly produced a knife from a bag he was carrying.
