We all need to start calling socialism what it is, slavery. I just had a polite talk with a Pete campaigner and explained how I cannot vote for someone who supports slave. You could tell she was confused so I explained that if the money I make from working is taken and then is given back to me based on my needs, this is slavery. She argued about helping the less fortunate and so I tried to explain how much more I could help the people around me that I know needed it. Asking for help through a third party like government is how money gets stolen by those that don't actually need it. I'm not sure how much actually got through but I could certainly tell that the wheels were turning in her head and I believe it is solely because she was put on the defense because of the trigger word slavery.
