GOP going to 404 may have been a tactic to get people to google “fake news awards” potentially leading them to twitter feeds. That said, it was clear to me that Twitter was doing a good job pushing fake shill anti-Trump twitter threads towards the top of their trending #fakenewsawards trending lists. I say this because of the rankings some of these got while still showing little if any of “our” memes having attacked them until the very bottom. A friend noticed the same thing. The conversations in those threads seemed fake and stilted as well, so what can you do other than what we did?
There is talk that there were ulterior motives that Q may have been capitalizing on as well.
Someone mentioned perhaps setting a trap for Twitter. I don’t know if that’s just optimistic or something more. I read or heard somewhere that the repeal of net neutrality was supposed to put these big media companies’ censorship policies and actions back under the purview of the FCC to be be able to investigate them when they were otherwise protected under Obama. Perhaps we have a legalfag who could sort that out if worthwhile.
Regardless, a bazillion memes were released like sea turtles hatching on a beach. Some of them will have made it to the ocean with then some of those growing into majestic creatures. That is the nature of meme magic, is it not? We can only wait and see.
