Department of Homeland Security (DHS) whistleblower Philip Haney was found dead on the side of a desolate California highway on Friday with a single gunshot would to the head, according to local authorities.

Haney's death has been ruled a suicide by an Amador County coroner, who noted that a firearm was observed next to the 66-year-old, who was found lying next to his vehicle.

"Upon their arrival, they located and identified 66-year-old Philip Haney, who was deceased and appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was located next to Haney and his vehicle. This investigation is active and ongoing. No further details will be released at this time," reads the report.

Flat-Earther ‘Mad’ Mike Hughes killed in crash-landing after homemade rocket launch

Daredevil Flat-Earther ‘Mad’ Mike Hughes has died after launching himself into the sky in a homemade rocket. Purported video of the accident shows the fatal launch.

Hughes and a colleague built the steam-powered rocket in hopes of shooting the daredevil 5,000 feet (1.5km) into the air. The endeavor was being documented by the Science Channel, which wanted to feature him in a new series called ‘Homemade Astronauts’.

A video purportedly filmed at the site shows the rocket being launched into the sky near Barstow, California, before Hughes plunges back down to the earth.

Dangerous games: US NUKES Russia in ‘mini exercise’ attended by Pentagon chief

US Defense Secretary Mark Esper played himself in a drill at the US Strategic Command HQ in Nebraska, which featured a bizarre scenario of America nuking Russia in response to its own nuclear strike against a ‘NATO ally’.

US military exercises simulating various crises are not that uncommon, yet, out of all plausible scenarios, this particular drill apparently simulated a highly unrealistic one. The classified exercise conducted at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha on Thursday focused on an imaginary nuclear conflict between the US and Russia in Europe.

According to the drill scenario, Moscow somehow decided to use a low-yield nuclear weapon against a site “on the NATO territory” somewhere in Europe, a senior Pentagon official confirmed to journalists on condition of anonymity. The fact that Europe is Russia’s biggest trading partner and Moscow would never wish to have a full-blown conflict on its doorstep requiring the use of nuclear weapons apparently never bothered the US military.

Instead, the exercise conveniently used America’s traditional boogeyman as a target for “simulated responding with a nuclear weapon.” The officials did not reveal what exact type of nuclear weapon was used and what particular site in Russia the US military decided to strike as part of the drills, limiting itself to describing this response as “limited.”

The Thursday drill might actually not be the weirdest one the Pentagon has staged. A book ‘The Bomb: Presidents, Generals, and the Secret History of Nuclear War’ by American journalist and author, Fred Kaplan, describes an even more eyebrow-raising exercise conducted during the Obama-era when the US military decided to nuke Belarus in response to Russia’s attack. One is left to wonder if they remembered that Belarus is actually another independent state even though it is Moscow’s close ally.

The latest drill comes as the Trump administration seeks approval from Congress for its 2021 Fiscal Year budget request, which includes a whopping $44 billion reserved for maintaining America’s nuclear arsenal and buying new nuclear weapons.

The Pentagon’s wild games might look even more disturbing in the light of the fact that America has just recently deployed “low-yield” nuclear missiles on its submarines in the name of deterrence. Yet, the move appears to be more of another step toward nuclear apocalypse on the part of the US, particularly since its latest nuclear doctrine adopted in 2018 permits the use of nuclear weapons in quite a wide range of situations.

Unlike the American one, which allows the US military to treat almost any use of military force against them as a reason to deploy nukes, the Russian doctrine says Moscow can only do that in the case of foreign aggression involving the use of weapons of mass destruction or if the very existence of the nation is at stake.

Washington is really playing with fire, Peter Kuznick, the director of the American University’s Nuclear Studies Institute, believes. The situation on the world stage is as “precarious” as never before, he told RT. And yet, the US military stubbornly continues to play out a twisted scenario that is nothing but a countdown to doomsday.

“Over the years, they simulated this kind of a limited nuclear war. What usually happens is that it escalates out of control. There is almost no scenario in which a limited nuclear war ends after each side shoots off one nuclear weapon. A much more likely scenario is that it continues to escalate and then we are all finished.”

Kuznick explained that the US and Russia together possess 93 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons. And, yet, America’s President Donald Trump still welcomes a potential nuclear arms race. The analyst called such an approach “insanity” and said that we already “have enough nuclear arms to trigger a nuclear winter and wipe out all the life on the planet.”

REVEALED: Chief magistrate in Assange case received financial benefits from secretive partner organisations of UK Foreign Office

The senior judge overseeing the extradition proceedings of WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange received financial benefits from two partner organisations of the British Foreign Office before her appointment, it can be revealed.

It can further be revealed that Lady Emma Arbuthnot was appointed Chief Magistrate in Westminster on the advice of a Conservative government minister with whom she had attended a secretive meeting organised by one of these Foreign Office partner organisations two years before.

Liz Truss, then Justice Secretary, “advised” the Queen to appoint Lady Arbuthnot in October 2016. Two years before, Truss — who is now Trade Secretary — and Lady Arbuthnot both attended an off-the-record two-day meeting in Bilbao, Spain.

The expenses were covered by an organisation called Tertulias, chaired by Lady Arbuthnot’s husband — Lord Arbuthnot of Edrom, a former Conservative defence minister with extensive links to the British military and intelligence community exposed by WikiLeaks.

Tertulias, an annual forum held for political and corporate leaders in the UK and Spain, is regarded by the UK Foreign Office as one of its “partnerships”. The 2014 event in Bilbao was attended by David Lidington, the Minister for Europe, while the Foreign Office has in the past funded Lord Arbuthnot’s attendance at the forum.

The Foreign Office has long taken a strong anti-Assange position, rejecting UN findings in his favour, refusing to recognise the political asylum given to him by Ecuador, and even labelling Assange a “miserable little worm”.

Lady Arbuthnot also benefited financially from another trip with her husband in 2014, this time to Istanbul for the British-Turkish Tatlidil, a forum established by the UK and Turkish governments for “high level” individuals involved in politics and business.

Both Tertulias and Tatlidil are secretive gatherings about which little is known and are not obviously connected — but Declassified has discovered that the UK address of the two organisations has been the same.

Lady Arbuthnot personally presided over Assange’s case as judge from late 2017 until mid-2019, delivering two controversial rulings. Although she is no longer personally hearing the Assange extradition proceedings, she remains responsible for supporting and guiding the junior judges in her jurisdiction. Lady Arbuthnot has refused to declare any conflicts of interest in the case.

The new revelations follow previous investigations by Declassified showing that Lady Arbuthnot received gifts and hospitality in relation to her husband from a military and cybersecurity company exposed by WikiLeaks. Declassified also revealed that the Arbuthnots’ son is linked to an anti-data leak company created by the UK intelligence establishment and staffed by officials recruited from US intelligence agencies behind that country’s prosecution of the WikiLeaks founder.

Lady Arbuthnot’s first ruling on Assange was made in February 2018 while he was a political asylee in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Assange’s lawyers had applied to have his British arrest warrant withdrawn.

Assange had never been charged with a crime, and in May 2017 the Swedish proceedings had been discontinued along with the European Arrest Warrant. The warrant related to Assange skipping bail to claim asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy, where the Ecuadorian government agreed that he was at risk of political persecution in the United States.

Arbuthnot refused the request. Her ruling was irregular, dismissing Assange’s fears of US extradition and the findings of the UN. “I accept that Mr Assange had expressed fears of being returned to the United States from a very early stage in the Swedish extradition proceedings but… I do not find that Mr Assange’s fears were reasonable,” she said.

“I give little weight to the views of the Working Group,” she added, referring to the United Nations body which termed Assange’s condition one of “arbitrary detention”. “I do not find that Mr Assange’s stay in the Embassy is inappropriate, unjust, unpredictable, unreasonable, unnecessary or disproportionate.”

When he was grabbed from the Ecuadorian embassy by British police in April 2019, district judge Michael Snow pilloried Assange’s claims that Lady Arbuthnot was conflicted: “His assertion that he has not had a fair hearing is laughable. And his behaviour is that of a narcissist who cannot get beyond his own selfish interests,” Snow told the court.

Lady Arbuthnot made her most recent ruling on Assange in June 2019. District Judge Vanessa Baraitser — who is still overseen by Lady Arbuthnot — will rule on the extradition proceedings which begin on 25 February.

Liz Truss, Lady Arbuthnot, Lord Arbuthnot, and the Foreign Office, did not respond to requests for comment. DM

Mapping Out The Banking Elite's Goal For A Cashless Monetary System – Part Two

In the first part of this article we traced the development of the ‘Utility Settlement Coin‘ – a project that began in 2015 and which has now evolved through the inception of a consortium called Fnality International. Fnality are comprised of a number of the world’s biggest banks including Barclays and UBS, all of whom are shareholders in the scheme. Their objective as stated on the company’s website reads:

Fnality International has been founded to create a network of decentralised Financial Market Infrastructures (dFMIs) to deliver the means of payment-on-chain in tomorrow’s wholesale banking markets.

In practice, what Fnality are seeking to deliver is the construction of a distributed ledger technology based global payment system, one that can ‘facilitate tokenised, peer-to-peer markets‘.

But perhaps the standout name on Fnality’s management team is Daniel Heller, the firm’s advisor on regulatory affairs. Described as an expert in financial sector regulation and financial stability, Heller has a track record of having served at both the Bank for International Settlements and the International Monetary Fund. At the BIS he was head of the Secretariat of the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems, whilst at the IMF he was the executive director for Switzerland, Poland, Serbia, Azerbaijan, and four Central Asian republics. According to the Peterson Institute, for which Heller is a visiting fellow, Heller’s present research ‘focuses on the impact of emerging digital technologies such as blockchain on the financial sector, financial stability, and central banking.’

Back in September last year, the BIS held a ‘Conference on global stablecoins‘ in which one of the participants was Fnality International who gave a presentation on the day (along with JP Morgan and the Libra Association behind Facebook’s planned digital currency). High on the agenda of this conference was the legal uncertainties around stablecoins as well as how they could be regulated in the name of promoting financial and monetary policy stability.

In conjunction with a DLT based global payment system, a leading focus of Fnality is to devise and implement solutions to the legal, regulatory, operational and technical aspects. If they were successful, the end result would be a regulated network of distributed, or decentralised, financial market infrastructures. That is the theory at least.

As evidenced by the coverage on the Libra Association, the regulatory environment is one of the main issues around the future implementation of a digital currency network, so it will no doubt benefit Fnality to have Daniel Heller amongst their management, given his speciality in regulatory affairs and his former role at the BIS. After all, it was they who in 2019 introduced the Innovation BIS 2025 project which is centred around the technology that would underpin CBDC’s.

It is worthwhile at this point to remind ourselves of what the Utility Settlement Coin project was set up to achieve. Five years ago we were told that USC would be implemented on DLT, and have the potential to transform clearing and settlement processes. One practical example of this is that cross border transactions that might normally take days to clear would be instantaneous thanks to both DLT and the blockchain technology at the heart of the infrastructure.

In 2020, More People are Enslaved on Earth Than Ever Before in Human History

Despite massive leaps and bounds in technology and quality of life across the planet, there is still a very dark problem and it is hiding in plain sight. Slavery. According to the most recent data, there are over 40 million people in slavery with 1 in 4 of them being children. Its scope is massive and so are its profits — raking in around $150 billion annually.

A recent article published in Psychology Today lays out an ominous picture on the state of the free world. “Never before in human history have this many people been enslaved,” write Jenny Hwang and Shayne Moore in their report on the heart-rending data about child trafficking.

In the US, child trafficking is a growing problem in all 50 states. Children, young girls—some as young as 9 years old—are being bought and sold for sex in America. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old.

Sex trafficking—especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls—has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.

As investigative journalist Amy Fine Collins notes, “It’s become more lucrative and much safer to sell malleable teens than drugs or guns. A pound of heroin or an AK-47 can be retailed once, but a young girl can be sold 10 to 15 times a day—and a ‘righteous’ pimp confiscates 100 percent of her earnings.”

Shockingly enough, the research shows the majority of sex trafficked children in North America (US and Canada) come from government welfare programs. The authors of this research project note that domestic sex trafficking is a growing crime in Canada, and the majority of victims are children and youth who are or were in the Child Welfare (CW) system. It is the same in the United States too.

While many think that the state taking children from parents is a noble gesture to protect the child, all too often, the state removes kids from a bad situation and throws them into a situation akin to a horror film. Many times the children are taken from caring parents, who happened to hit a rough patch in their lives, and thrown into torturous and outright sadistic situations where they end up raped, tortured, and even murdered.

According to the government’s own data, the vast majority of a portion of these trafficked kids are coming from the government system who promises to keep them safe—a horrifying irony indeed. But it appears to be set up this way.

This system is set up to pull children from their families for ridiculous reasons and turn them over to for profit systems—funded by your tax dollars—that use these children as cash cows and have no incentive to keep them safe.

National Security Adviser: ‘I Haven’t Seen Any Intelligence’ Russia Is Trying to Help Trump

National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien rejected reports that Russia was interfering in the 2020 presidential election to help President Donald Trump get reelected.

O’Brien said, “I haven’t seen any intelligence that Russia is doing anything to attempt to get President Trump reelected,” Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

He continued, “I have seen the reports from that briefing at the intel committee. I wasn’t there, but I have seen no intelligence that suggests that. I have also heard that from the briefers that’s not what they intended the story to be. Who knows what happened at the House and the Intelligence Committee, but I haven’t seen any evidence that Russia is doing anything to attempt to get President Trump reelected. Our message to the Russians is, ‘Stay out of the U.S. elections.’ We have been very tough on Russia, and we have been great on election security. So I think it’s a non-story.”

Farage: ‘We Didn’t Free Britain From Brussels Only to Bow Before Beijing’

Nigel Farage said that he fears post-Brexit Britain has swapped one master for another, now being bound by bureaucrats in Beijing instead of Brussels.

The leader of the Brexit Party called on Conservative party Members of Parliament to rebel against Boris Johnson’s decision to allow Chinese tech giant Huawei to help build Britain’s 5G network, which Mr Farage described as “the worst decision taken by a UK government for many years”.

“Once Huawei is in the 5G network, getting it out will be all but impossible. For this reason, Johnson must reverse his decision to allow Huawei to take such a big position in creating 5G. A full-scale rebellion within Britain’s ruling Conservative Party is the only way he can be guaranteed to change his mind,” Farage wrote in Newsweek.

“I think the time has come for people to pick sides. The question is: are we to remain with the Western democracies that have always been our allies, or are we to throw our lot in with the Chinese Communist Party?” he asked.

The government has said that Huawei will only have access to the “periphery” and not the “core” of the network, however, White House officials warned the British government that the Chinese tech firm has backdoor access built into its networks, leading to fears that the company could be used as a spying tool of the regime in Beijing.

Mr Farage condemned the cosy relationship the British establishment and even Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s family have with the Chinese Communist Party.

“The ugly truth is that China has bought and paid for the UK establishment. Our elite has been captured, and not for the first time,” he said, adding: “I believe that the same establishment that sold out our nation to the European Union is now selling us out to China.”

Farage said that “many of the influences around Boris Johnson are pro-China – up to and including members of his own family” — including his father Stanley, who reportedly held a secret 90-minute meeting Liu Xiaoming, the Chinese ambassador to London.

The meeting was only unearthed after the Prime Minster’s father accidentally emailed the message relayed to him by the ambassador to the BBC.

The arch-Brexiteer also pointed to the Mrime minister’s younger brother, Jo, who he pointed out “was Britain’s Universities Minister until 2019. During his time in post, he endorsed the University of Reading’s partnership with China’s Nanjing University, which specialises in — you guessed it –information, science and technology. ”

Mr Farage, who is set to return to Washington DC next week to meet with Senators and Congressmen, said that he fears Britain’s “crucial trade negotiations with the U.S. are going backwards and not forwards”.

Boris Johnson recently cancelled a planned visit to the White House after a row with President Donald Trump over Chinese involvement in the newly independent United Kingdom.

Mr Trump reportedly slammed the phone down on the Prime Minister during a row on the subject, prompting Downing Street to cancel the trip over fears of widening the rift between the two leaders.

“For a British prime minister not to visit the most pro-UK President in years — a man who even returned the bust of Sir Winston Churchill to the Oval office — tells its own story about how poor relations appear to be,” warned Farage.

“Even the [Democrat] Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has taken a rare stand and united with Republicans against the British position on the Huawei issue. It seems to me the prospect of any trade deal getting through Congress at the moment is virtually zero,” he concluded.

Critics Portray Pro-Life Advocates As Racists. The Founder Of Planned Parenthood Had A History Pro-Eugenics Comments And Targeting Black Communities

Some media outlets portray pro-life advocates as racists, correlating them with “anti-blackness” and “white supremacists.”

But these outlets failed to note that Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger had a history of pro-eugenics comments and targeting black communities with birth control.

Sanger addressed members of the Ku Klux Klan, targeted southern black communities with birth control and discussed her enthusiasm for eliminating defective “human weeds” through eugenics.

Some media outlets portray pro-life advocates as racists, but Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger had a history of pro-eugenics comments and targeting black communities with birth control.

Media Matters, Rewire News and The Nation ran 2020 stories with the headlines “Right-wing media and abortion opponents should confront the anti-blackness of their movement,” “March for Life Has an Anti-Blackness Problem” and “The Long History of the Anti-Abortion Movement’s Links to White Supremacists.”

These stories portray the pro-life movement as dangerous to black communities, warn that racism is woven into the pro-life movement and say that the pro-life movement promotes anti-black rhetoric.

Yet these articles did not touch on questionably racist and pro-eugenics comments made by the founder of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Planned Parenthood credits Sanger with founding the organization in 1916 when she opened the first birth control clinic in the U.S. in Brownsville, Brooklyn, in New York City. Authorities raided the clinic nine days after it opened, shut it down, and charged Sanger, her sister Ethel Byrne and activist Fania Mindell for sharing birth control information. Sanger reportedly spent 30 days in jail after refusing to pay her fine.

She opened the Birth Control Clinical Research Bureau in Manhattan in 1923 and incorporated the American Birth Control League, organizations that reportedly merged to form the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Migrants Vastly Overrepresented in Norway Crime Stats

Figures from Statistics Norway show that migrants are vastly overrepresented in crimes, with younger migrants especially involved in violent crime and abuse in Oslo.

The figures were highlighted by Progressive Party members Sylvi Listhaug and Jon Helgheim, who revealed that young immigrant men from Somalia commit violent crime at a rate of 419 per 1,000 compared to 34 per 1,000 for native Norwegians.

The pair refute claims to the contrary made by NGOs, researchers, and others, stating that statistics in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden show that migrants are far overrepresented in violent crime even when factors such as gender, age, social status, and employment status are taken into consideration, Verdens Gang reports.

“The reason we are criticised is that it is troublesome for politicians, activists, researchers, and commentators to be awakened by unpleasant facts when they have intensely tried to close both eyes and ears long enough,” the pair wrote.

The authors went on to describe the situation with migrant crime rates in Sweden, claiming that politicians and experts have “accepted that one should not talk about the problems because it can be stigmatising”.

“Now the situation in Sweden is completely out of control with hundreds of car fires, hundreds of school fires, over a hundred bomb attacks, open street executions, and coordinated attacks with automatic weapons, bombs, and grenades,” they said.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven has rejected claims that migration has anything to do with the surge in violent gang crime sweeping the country.

However, a recent report by Swedish newspaper Expressen revealed that all of the leaders of gangs committing violence in Stockholm were from migrant backgrounds.

The op-ed by the Progressive Party politicians also comes just under a year after Norwegian media reported that 70 per cent of the violent crime in Oslo was committed by immigrants, who make up just 33 per cent of the overall population.

$18 Million in Meth, Heroin, Cocaine Seized at Texas Border Crossing

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in South Texas seized more than $18 million worth of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana in a single drug smuggling incident.

Rio Grande Valley Sector officers assigned to the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge cargo facility observed a tractor-trailer approaching from Mexico for entry inspection before entering the United States, according to information obtained from CBP officials in South Texas. The officers referred the driver of the rig hauling a shipment of fresh broccoli to a secondary inspection station for further scrutiny.

Officers checked the trailer with a non-intrusive imaging system which led to the discovery of a large number of unusual packages based upon the cargo manifest. The officers followed up with a physical search of the trailer which led to the recovery of 432 packages believed to be filled with narcotics, officials reported.

The officers removed the packages and began testing to determine the type of drugs being smuggled into Texas. They found 341 of the packages tested positive for methamphetamine. The meth weighed nearly 900 pounds and had an estimated street value of $18 million, officials stated.

Officers also found 87 packages of marijuana weighing more than 200 pounds with an estimated value of about $40,000. They also found three packages containing heroin which weighed 8.82 pounds ($353,000 estimated value) and one package of cocaine weighing 3.31 pounds ($25,500 estimated value).

“This was truly a notable seizure in the commercial environment,” Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Port of Hidalgo/Pharr/ Anzalduas, said in a written statement. “Our officers’ ability to maintain an excellent enforcement posture while keeping trade flowing and uninterrupted is one of our main priorities.”
