I'm in Germany. Spouse anon works with kids. Workers received gov advisory not to use hand sanitizer because it causes peeling of protective outer skin layers that can prevent infection. They recommend washing hand with warm water and soap for 2 minutes.
Going by what I think I remember spouse anon telling me. 2 minutes seems long to me, though.
