Why this "thing"?

Why on earth would anyone choose a tiny little image of a baby to symbolize good luck…inside a cake that you bake and EAT?

The little dolls look like fetuses.

These people are sick!

This year, just before New Year's, I was preparing myself to start losing weight. I started a water fast, and I was going to do it for 3 days. On the 2nd day, I started to feel as if I was getting the flu, so I decided to break my fast. Anyway, I think I was too late, and whatever I had had a hay day with my digestive system. I was in horrible pain for about 2 weeks, and bleeding. I never went to the doctor, I just observed what happened and I corrected it with diet and exercise (exercise to help keep things moving). Kombucha tea and lots of yogurt to help replenish was killed off in my gut. During this time I went vegetarian…and I am actually kind of scared of going back to meat, because when I broke my fast, I ate meat and I think that had something to do with what happened as well.
